We had a great experience working with the Yardzen team. The work met our objectives and the turnaround time was great. It was really helpful to work with the Yardzen project manager to help share feedback on our design objectives and help to refine the initial design. Overall it was a great experience.

Yardzen is great! They took all of my concepts and suggestions and put it all together in a plan that was almost perfect on the first go round. I had a few small tweaks to make but the process was super easy and fun!

UPDATE: Management scheduled a call with us after it was determined by our YZ team that our project had missed every mark. They were understanding and accepted our criticism without much pushback. Their demeanor was appreciated. YardZen ultimately provided multiple refund options for our project, including a full refund. ********************************** Every deliverable we received from YardZen was horrible, amateur-level, and late. Rendered images appeared to be full of AI filler. Although you need to create several “chatty” videos of your house, it appears as if no human listened to a single comment. What was delivered was an eyesore. I wouldn’t wish their designs on my worst neighbors much less our own home. I trusted them, I believed other reviewers, and I believed in their 100% happiness guarantee. Don’t fall for that one! I asked for my money back inside of 30 days but was denied because they believe their designs are good enough to build on with revisions if I would give them more time. I would be tempted to give them more time but it took all 30 days just to get to this point. Yes, the promise to deliver your first design MUCH faster. They offer something amazing, quick, and affordable. It’s all smoke and marketing. Choose this company for your project if you like. You’ll likely lose 30 days or longer and be very disappointed. The worst part is we are so accommodating and they just can’t get themselves organized enough to execute on anything of substance.

1. The designs did not take into account our specific asks and needs 2. The plantings suggested did not make sense to our region and shade 3. Yardzen was never able to link me up with a contractor despite multiple requests. Zero added value. I’ve voiced my concerns to them multiple times, not great responsiveness. And only after multiple emails and zero resolution did I choose to leave this negative review

I found Yardzen while looking for a reputable landscape designer utilizing the latest technology / AI but bringing real human expertise to the table. While my design isn't complete, the process to start the design was very easy and thorough and the initial design was very good. My project manager, Jasmine has been very responsive. I am looking forward to finalizing the design in the next week.

Very helpful with planning and visualizing a design for your space

We were a tiny bit (a lot for my husband) skeptical about Yardzen and the cost; now we are so happy we took a chance on them! Mackenzie has been a dream to work with! We were looking for a designer who doesn't repeat the same design over and over like we see all around our area. We want our yard to reflect us and our lifestlye, and Yardzen is making that happen! We cannot wait to receive our revised design with the small tweaks we requested. And we absolutely can't wait to get started on our backyard renovation.

Very disappointing — not worth the money I was extremely disappointed with my experience with Yardzen. I paid for a professional landscape design because I expected thoughtful planning, creativity, and a design that actually responded to my property and the information and preferences I provided. Instead, the final design felt generic. There were basic design issues that I would expect a professional landscape designer to catch—awkward planting areas, seating spaces that didn’t feel properly connected to the house or each other, a lack of intentional walkways, and very little thought given to how the different outdoor areas would actually function together. The most frustrating part is that the design honestly looks like something AI generated. It feels like elements were simply placed around the property rather than someone carefully considering circulation, sightlines, focal points, proportions, and how we would actually use the space. Our property is beautiful as is with gorgeous oak trees and natural rock outcroppings. The design actually takes away from this. It really doesn't feel like a human designed it. I hired Yardzen because I wanted professional expertise and ideas that I wouldn't necessarily come up with myself. Instead, I’m now essentially redesigning the landscape myself and correcting problems in a design I already paid for. I really regret spending the money. I could have designed this myself, gotten something more tailored to our property and how we want to use it, and saved the cost of the service. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Yardzen if you're looking for a genuinely custom, thoughtfully designed landscape plan.
