Do not allow Blue Raven solar to put panels on your home. I am paying to finance my panels and I am paying a 432 bill in the summer. After not receiving any return calls about my complaint I contacted the BBB. Also, we contacted the comed and enphase who told me that my panels were installed in the wrong direction and are not producing the energy promised to cover my home. Do not let Pat West trick you into getting panels and promising to help you if there are issues. No one at Blue Raven calls me back or tries to help. Only with help from the BBB and finance company goodleap did I get some answers. Please do not get scammed. Horrible customer service and cant install panels correctly. You will pay more than ever before. I am still trying to contact them to come out and fix my problem.

Do not use them. Poor customer service and in their contract it states no guarantee for of rate reduction. I am still getting over 400 electric bills after I was promised by Pat West that it wouldn’t be more than the delivery fee which he said was 20 a month. When I call them about my bills they say there is no one to escalate it to and that nothing can be done except to pay more money and install something that checks usage. Then I get a text saying that can’t be installed because they put the box in my basement and no way to check usage as if I told them to put the unit in the basement. They don’t ever call back unless you contact the bbb and even then it’s taken a month. I missed the call called right back and they were too busy to speak to me. I am paying more now than ever for electricity. Same bill and another added fee for the panels with no resolution. I just want them removed and my money back. Don’t ever use them. Save yourselves a headache and find a company that actually resolves issues and answers and returns calls. Even goodleap their lender got involved to try and get them to call me back. I have multiple messages of goodleap trying to help. When I said I wanted to cancel they told me in the contract blue raven makes no guarantee that we will save money on electricity. I’m trying to get a lawyer now to see how to cancel this contract asap.

Spoke to Blue Raven Solar about an installation. After a minute or two I expressed that I would be doing a ground mount installation. When the representative asked if I would consider a roof mount and I said no, they just disconnected. No "thank you" or "goodbye".

I have contacted customer service 3 times with no response. I am trying to get gutters installed on my shop and they installed the solar service with the main conduit in the way of the gutters.

It took 13 months from the initial sale to now. It has been the worst experience ever. Finally got solar installed in January and in April had a roof leak caused by the install. It finally got fixed and they said they’d send someone out to repair the texture and paint and would call. NEVER have heard a word. Opened a service ticket and two weeks later they called and asked if I’d take $299 and get it fixed myself. Absolutely not! It would cost way more than that. Told the guy who called I wanted someone out asap to get it fixed. He said someone would call in the next few days to schedule. NOTHING, so I called in at 4:55pm and asked to speak with a manager or supervisor and was told everyone was getting ready to go home! Still no resolution! DO NOT USE BLUE RAVEN, THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON-EXISTENT. I would not use them or recommend them. Also, real the reviews…something happened in 2024…good reviews then everything tanked. I believe the company was purchased and now things are horrible.

We had our system installed on October 30, 2024. On November 21 it was inspected. The system began collecting kWh on January 10 through January 23. It only worked for 13 days. Then it quit. Blue Raven came on January 30 and said the system needed fuses. They didn't have them on their truck. So we have been calling and calling with no results. Today we talked to someone in Utah. He told us the work team was sick and he didn't know when they could come! They will notify us in 5 days, Friday at 12:30. They don't know if they can send anyone then or not! This is a brand-new system and it doesn't work. After pleading time after time, we cannot get anyone over here to fix it!

The entire sales pitch is centered around getting a tax credit of more than half the cost of the system being installed. After which they state you will simply replace your electricity bill with payment plan of solar panels after the tax credit is applied. Without the tax credit you're looking at 50k. with the credit, you're looking at 22k. After signing up for installation I looked into the tax credit, and it is not nearly as straightforward as they sell it to be. Because of this I wished to stop the process. They never stated a cancellation fee in the sales pitch. But an employee (assuming working for their collections department), called and threatened to send me to collections unless I paid $1250 to cover their 'extensive labor input thus far'. What a pile of BS, not only that but the employee was extremely condescending and all they try to do is force you to go through with the process even if you don't want to due to how expensive it would be without the tax credit. Just some slimy business practices. If someone doesn't want to go through with your product, there's no reason to take a fat chunk out of them on the way out. Update (2/19): Blue Raven Solar's customer service has reached out and waived the cancellation fee and recognized several points of mistakes they made along the process. As I greatly appreciate this, I will reflect it in my review, but getting to this point has not been enjoyable and I wish to remain transparent with those reading this review. Great resolve from the issues that occurred, but the road to this resolve has been a bit rough. In the future, I will be much more careful and observant when going forward with solar installation companies in general.

Oh my goodness, I can't even begin to describe the journey we have been through with Blue Raven. It has been the worst experience I have ever been through. In May 2024 a rep came to our door to sell us solar panels and all the information sounded really good so we signed up. They said it would be maybe 9 week total to be completed. We are in December and still nothing. Every time I have spoken with them on the phone I had to be the one to reach out. I have not received a single phone call from them except from them today to tell me the loan expired and we would have to submit another application. Mind you, I called them weeks ago to let them know the application was going to expire soon and they told me not to worry about it.. he said he was keeping an eye on the account and was going to submit an extension before it actually expires. They never did that. I have had to continuously call throughout the months to get the process pushed along. I have had to call to get the permits done, and to get the main panel upgrade scheduled. The panel upgrade never got scheduled though, for months I would call and they would set an "appointment" and then send me a text saying the appointment was canceled because xcel didn't have any openings for that day and they would tell me I would receive a call in 2 days to schedule an appointment. I would call back a week later to see where the process was at, and they would schedule another appointment and it would get canceled again. This went on for months. Finally, they would tell me it would take two weeks to schedule an appointment with xcel and that I would get a call then. When I call back 18 days later, I find out the loan expired but all they need to do is submit the extension. Now 12 days later they call to tell me I need to resubmit the application because the lender needed more information about our mortgage payments/statements. This was just the worst of it. I have had to go back and forth with them on multiple issues and information that wasn't submitted correctly which I don't even know how that happened because I thoroughly went through everything when we signed up and made sure everything was correct. So I'm not sure how information just randomly changed. At one point, they even had the wrong address under our account!! Needless to say we will not be going with Blue Raven and I really wish we could've had an experience like some of the other people had and I hope nobody has to experience what we did. I really wanted this to be a pleasant experience but in the end it was really stressful and we were just let down.
