Blue Raven is a crooked and deceitful company. Promises on tax savings monthly rebate checks and proper installation were not kept. Their customer service group is pleasant as they explain how they can not help.
I’m left with a very bad taste in my mouth with no real legal recourse.

No Response on project submission to utility company
I got my solar project installed with Blue Raven in Dec 2025. I have thousands of issue with Blue Raven since I signed contract with them but I want to point out my current issue with Blue Raven. For my Solar installation my utility company COMED would give my rebate based on the size of my project. Blue Raven has filed project details with COMED and mentioned incorrect size . I have been following up Blue Raven to get that corrected but no luck. I need to give them call every 3-4 days with call wait time of more than 30 minutes sometimes. Most of the time no one picks up the call and when they pick I have to tell them entire story again. After listening to the story most of time they will excuse that I have called wrong department and I should call a different depart of Blue Raven.
They should be able to pull my account with my phone number. They need to file modification request to COMED and once that is approved they need to file size modification request one more time with COMED with in 10 days of first request. They always do first one and forget about second request and hence when ever I call them they need to start back again since they didn't second request with in 10 days.
My project got installed in December and it has been 4 month since then and they haven't resolved my issue.

Poor experience overall even as there were some bright spots
Like - the person supporting the sales process was very knowledgeable and responsive.
Like - the electricians.
Ok - the installs crew. There is a damage to one of my gutters, the lead person said they will report to the corporate for replacement and no actions thus far.
Dislike - process after the sale was done was rather disjoined and lots of delays. We signed this agreement in Dec 2024 and the system was finally live in late Sept 2025 after originally slated for completion in March 2025. There was an issue that needed remediation (new electrical unit design, approval, implementation, inspection) etc and just like that 6 months passed.
I kept getting the same thing shipped multiple times (labels/decals) and finally none of it was installed.
There was no handover of the system / how to access the app for monitoring production etc.
There is supposed to be a sealing of the disconnect and it’s unclear when that will be done.
Just like that, the process is over with loose ends ( uninstalled labels, documents in ziplock bag that is hanging by the meter, no follow ups on the damage, sealing the disconnect etc)
Rather frustrating experience overall.
Yet to see how the experience with applying for tax credits goes.

Hi Sandeep, thank you for the feedback. We’re sorry that parts of your experience did not meet expectations and we understand how frustrating that must have been. We have requested a quote from a contractor for the gutter repair. As for sealing the disconnect, the AC disconnect can be locked by the homeowner. If you have additional questions please reach out at 855-205-2530. - Katie G.

BRS always communicates the steps in…
BRS always communicates the steps in the process. On the installation day, the electrician came early morning to set up electric panels, breakers etc., and later the panel crews came to install the PV panels. They work professionally and at the end asked me if I got all the questions answered. One thing they forgot is the plaster portion of my garage wall that was cut to do the wiring, which was promised to me.
Update:
I have been contacting their support team about some underperforming panels with no response. With the above two issues, I downgrade the points

System not Energized
My experience with Blue Raven was mostly positive. I had several proposals for placing tiles on my roof before we agreed to a layout. Within two weeks a team came out to install the panels. The installation team showed up on time and completed the work in less than 5 hours. They were polite, professional and efficient. It's now been two months since the panels were installed and I keep getting a runaround from the Utilities team to get an electrician scheduled to do the needed work on the utility meter. This work was known before the installation as the sales person said it was a necessity with me electric company. Multiple calls to support and little communication. After weeks of trying we finally had a date for the work. The electric company rep showed up to kill the power but the Blue Raven electrician never showed up. Still waiting to use these panels that are on my roof.

Hi Eric, thank you for sharing your experience and for the kind feedback regarding our proposal process and installation team. We’re glad to hear those parts of the project went smoothly. We also apologize for the delays you’ve experienced since then. We understand how disappointing it is to have panels installed but not yet operational. At this stage, we are currently waiting for your utility provider to review the corrections we submitted and to schedule their visit to install the generation meter and commission the system. We appreciate your patience and are closely monitoring the project to ensure it is completed as soon as possible. Please feel free to reach out with any additional questions. -Emma A.

I guess I'll start from the beginning
I guess I'll start from the beginning. I have had over the years at least, 50-100 people come to my door and offer solar. No joke, and so finally one day this young man comes to my home and begs for me to hear him out so I let him in my home and we have a chat. He represents Blue Raven. After about an hour of my time I say hey you know what let's just do the site survey amd find out the actual cost, what do I have to lose. He co convinced me. He gives me his information and a few days go by and the site surveyer comes out to look at my home and after another hour he leaves. Pretty easy ! This is where is starts to go down hill. I can't reach the guy who came out to my home, he completely ghosted me. I called Blue Raven to ask and even they were no help. So I basically just moved on. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Now if you are familiar with solar at all you will know that almost every company out there will offer to pay for your monthly solar payment for the first 18 month. About 2-3 weeks go by and I get a call from a rep from Blue Raven asking if I would like a free quote on solar lol I was blown away. I told him I had already gotten a survey and then was ghosted. He sent me to another rep and he apologized and offer a 5 k discount but without the 18 month payment coverage. My payment is roughly 150 a month, so after 18 months it would come to roughly $2700 dollars. So I really only ended up with a discount $2300, because as I said most companies offer the 18 month payment coverage. I agree to get solar installed by them. 45k later, it's installation day. The electrician they had on site was extremely rude and off putting but I figure hey, maybe he's having a bad day. I have young children and told them to please not leave a mess in my home because my daughter likes to put things in her mouth. They left a huge pile of insulation on the floor outside my attic and my daughter thought it was cotten candy and ate it, leaving me to having to take my daughter to agent care. She's fine if you were wondering. They also left garage all over my yard, and driveway, and bags of clips on the second story of my house as well which I can't get to. I am pretty well off and live in a tight nit neighborhood where a neighbors word is everything. I have had 6 people along with 2 relatives ready to do solar and awaiting my experience and I can say with confidence, I don't think I will be able to recommend them to anyone. We also are looking into a possible lawsuit due to there negligence.

Hi Chris, We apologize for the inconvenience caused when initially setting up your solar project. Our sales representative left the company, which caused some confusion. Although you did not receive the first 18 months free, you were placed on our cheapest financing option, saving you much more money in the long term. At Blue Raven Solar, we have high expectations for our installations and apologize that those expectations were not met with the cleanliness of the installation crew. Though we strive to provide a world-class experience without hiccups, we recognize that things may occur but pride ourselves in making them right. We are relieved that your daughter is okay and that we were able to promptly send the regional manager to your home to clean everything up. Additionally, I am pleased that I was able to personally touch base with you, along with our National Installation Manager, to find an amicable solution for the inconveniences caused. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out! -Brenden B.

Service
Well, I had my project done in October 2023. The installers were great, everything was working great until March 2nd 2024. My system went down on the 2nd of March. Seems like Blue Ravens service department could care less. I called several times to get someone out to look at it. First I was told that it would take 7 to 10 days just to get on a list that would put me on a schedule. How ridiculous is that. They did have a person come out and change the circuit breaker to see if that was the issue, not the issue. So after all that they put me on the schedule for the 26th of March. So you can see how frustrating this is. I really think this is way to long for service. Just to clarify Blue Raven Solar is out of Salt Lake City, and I'm in Reno Nv. They could use several more technicians out this way.
