This company is a rip-off! A few years ago, we bought points and were told 6K points every other year. But it was 3K point every year, they lied. Call many times to try to fix it but never could. This past MLK weekend at the South Mountain resort in Lincoln, NH. Sat through the sale pitch, Mr. Bradly admitted it was wrong and said they screwed the way the deed was; he could not fix it. A few minutes later, he returned and offered to sell us more points so we would have 4k yearly. I said why would we do that? It's your mistake. Just fix it, and why we would trust you. He agreed and said he would not do it either. Then he made another offer: if we bought 9K points bi-yearly, he would take back our 3k points yearly, thus fixing the problem he said could not be fixed! Bluegreen would fix the problem unless we paid more money. Its extortion!

Disappointing and Felt cheated
Bluegreen vacations is fraud. i was sold the package stating that Chicago is an option because I wanted to visit there. after few months when I thought of travelling they removed that options. so I requested to refund my money so that they started giving me excuses for not refunding the money and forcing me to chose some other destination. highly disappointing and felt cheated. Total waste of money and time.

We are Bluegreen owners
We are Bluegreen owners. Made reservations 11 months in advance and requested a room with some type of view instead of being put on ground floor. Everything was confirmed two weeks before and we were told we were good to go. Arrived at resort and checked in. I asked what floor we were on. Answer ground floor from manager. I said we requested something with a view 11 months ago and this was confirmed by the representative who called us. We were then told all rooms with a view are reserved for Diamond and Platinum members and our membership did not qualify. We were also told that you do not make a reservation but it is a request. At this point I lost my cool and made a scene in the front lobby. Then the manager moved somethings around to try to calm us down. We worked through all of this and wanted to purchase some of the discounted attractions that is part of being an owner. Right on the pamphlet hand written in was you can only get discounts if you go to the sales pitch. I went outside with our daughter and grandsons while my wife finished things off. We get to the room and one of the bathroom doors is falling off of the hinges, the safe in the room does not work and lights are out on the stairway. Also the people who come there have kids running up and down the hallway all times of day and night. I know the kids are not the resorts problem but this just added to all of the issues. We were also never notified about the lawsuits Bluegreen was involved in or the sale of Bluegreen to the Hilton Group. Now approximately 6 months before my wife had a girls trip to Florida and this was a complete disaster. Stay away from Bluegreen. We have paid off of contract and are actively looking to get out of this. These people are horrible. When we called Bluegreen management they said this is not how the membership works. They contacted the resort manager who then called us back and bold faced lied and said he never said those things. we were also told that you cannot rent out your points to others but the sales person told us he does this all of the time when we initially bought.

If I could give 0 stars I would.
If I could give 0 stars I would.
We originally purchased with Bluegreen in Branson MO and appreciated the experience. However, in November 2023 we went to Las Vegas Club 36, a Bluegreen Resort. Before going, we were called and asked to have a sit down, with their sales rep. We met with a man, an employee of Bluegreen Resorts in Las Vegas Club 36. We told him that we did not want to purchase any points, that my husband had been in the military and had disability due to PTSD and that I had 4th stage cancer. He explained that if we did purchase, that we would be able to pay for our maintenance fees with their new program, by banking some of points with Choice, which would give us 15x the points we banked. We were then told we could use that for cruises and that we could pay for our yearly fees using gift cards issued by Choice. He explained that we would only need to use 15,000 points to pay the yearly fees and then could use the rest of the points for travel. While it is true that we can bank our points with Choice and have 15x value of our points and that we can purchase gift cards. The Bluegreen sales rep. lied about how many points it would take to pay for the yearly fees. Even if we used all our 60,000 points, it would not pay for the yearly fees and we would still owe over $2,000. What the Bluegreen sales rep said was an outright lie to get us to purchase more points. We also found that we couldn't take a cruise either because we wouldn't have enough points or due to availability.
He also told us, since my husband had excellent credit, that in a month, once we paid the first payment, to the loan that they provided that day at 11.98%, to contact the platinum phone number given and that they would look at his credit and give us a loan as low as 6%. Another complete lie. They informed us that the best rate was the 11.98% and that they would not review my husband's credit as the Bluegreen sales rep had indicated.

Complete ripoff engineered by skilled liars
Timeshares are a ripoff. We all know that. Listen to the others who have given their honest reviews before me and, run, don't walk to the nearest exit before listening to Bluegreen's sales pitch.
We made a mistake in the first place by buying only at the entry level "VIP" (a complete joke). Perhaps we compounded it with another $23K investment, but it's the only way to get anything from Bluegreen.
As for the people at Parkside, Williamsburg, Va. they are very skilled liars. Our salesman, an immigrant with a fabulous sob story, brought in his boss, the blonde kind motherly type, who promised to help us with the vacation we wanted. NEVER HAPPENED. The only hope with Bluegreen is that its acquisition by Hilton, whose price for point fees are much higher, is that we can unload it to another unsuspecting sucker.

If I could give lower than 1 star I…
If I could give lower than 1 star I would. I have been an owner for several years now. HORRIBLE AND LIES. I bought because I live in Orlando, which is next to several resorts. I was told I can use their facilities anytime I am in the area. Well, I arrived to use their pool and they said I have to call 24 hours in advance, then in the summer they do not offer day passes. Now they only do day passes Monday -Thursday and not during the summer. Also, was told my maintenance fees will barely go up every year, but they have doubled for a facility I was told I can use, but they have changed their rules so many times that I am unable to use them. They are awful and WARNING YOU DO NOT BUY.

Almost impossible to use points, however you can book as non-members on travel portals and pay as non members
1-19-23 Update. I just read through all 89 reviews! I also posted on BBB and got a LONG response from BlueGreen, not acceptable. Everything answered came down to the excuse they are standing behind as "Based on Availability" When going to BBB I thought there would be more reviews. You may want to consider posting there also. I ask "How do they sleep at Night"
Almost impossible to use points, however you can book as non-members on travel portals.
I tried to book a vacation to the coral princess and most dates, availability did not exist.
When we signed up in May 2023 the salesperson showed us many sites that we would look to visit and there was LOTS of availability, not hard to book or far out. Did they have a "fraudulent" site for the purposes of demonstration to show members that it was easy to find a place?
Upon research I found the Coral Princess being offered to book and stay on multiple travel sites, however no availability for members. I sent documentation with screen shots. This was also the case with many other properties of which I did the same thing.
I paid $3,600 just for 1 vacation with money paid to Blue Green to date.. We went on our trip and our hotel out of pocket was $ 1200.00. With Blue Green I would have paid $2,400 for a vacation than I would have paid for on my own for a like room…..where is the benefit to that? The other "sell" was you would get larger rooms/suites as a member-none offered.
Other properties I looked to book with points and were unavailable-some for a year out were offered on travel sites available for booking for non members. Expedia, VRBO, Priceline etc.
I sent FACT screenshots of the properties on those portals, along with a screenshop of the member site with no availability.
I started the process to have my membership cancelled and reimbursed in September of 2023. Repeated emails WITH DOCUMENTATION to legal affairs, US mail to the President. They have not been answered by a decision maker-only lame customer service people who leave a voicemail, say they will email me to set up an appointment(neve do) and when I return the call I always get a vm to leave a message. They say they will call back in 3-5 business days. What kind of member/customer service is that. Yesterday I called and left a message for the head of the legal department....on a voicemail. A year ago bought into this &…
A year ago bought into this & specifically said no loan & when we get home we would call with bank info to pay cash so when we returned home we decided to cancel within the 3 day period, mailed back everything they asked for. Started getting mail from the loan company & after many many phone calls to many many #'s we did get all our money credited to our credit card except this loan company had charged up $49 late fee & we never ever even had a loan #. Turns out they turned up over to collections. Now they laugh at me when I called. I'm not sure how these scam companies are not being shut down.
