STAY AWAY FROM BLUEGREEN VACATIONS!
STAY AWAY!! DO NOT LET YOURSELF BE TALKED INTO BUYING A BLUEGREEN TIMESHARE! If you are offered a “cheap” trip from Bluegreen just for attending an information session, DON’T GO. Their salespersons are talented and relentless and you won’t really understand what you’ve gotten into until it’s too late to get out. Joining BG is the worst mistake we have ever made. We went to the informational session absolutely determined not to buy. But once we got there. we were heavily pressured to sign up – we even asked if we could leave and discuss it and return later and were told NO! we had to decide right then or lose the chance! We were never left alone for even a few minutes to discuss it just between us. We are in our 70s, living on a fixed income and asked every person we spoke with (4 or 5 different sales people) what would happen if we were suddenly unable to travel or our situation changed. Each person brushed off that concern by saying we would then talk to their “quality service division”, LIKE IT WAS NO BIG DEAL. No one told us there was a 7-day window to change our minds. It was never made clear that there is no way out once you are in. When we tried to book something, either nothing we wanted was available or there were so many additional fees it wasn’t feasible to even use the points we purchased. We recently encountered a large, unforeseen expense and have reached out to Bluegreen for assistance exiting this timeshare. They’ve been no help at all and have had no concern about our current financial crisis. We can’t sleep, we are so distressed about what we have gotten ourselves into. We don’t know what we are going to do, but if you are considering buying into Bluegreen Vacations, SAVE YOURSELF and RUN the other direction.
