If I could give a 0, I would. A 1 is too high of a rating. We went to NOLA for the vacation stay presentation and was shocked with all of the fees they did not tell me and my husband. We were so disappointed that we didn't stay for the presentation. We basically ruined our annnversary weekend. When I called customer service about the fees he explained that it was in the confirmation. When I went back to view the confirmation it only stipulated that we MAY have to pay 49 but it was about 300. We do not do business with liars and crooks.

I was a Bluegreen owner for 16 years…
I was a Bluegreen owner for 16 years (Gold Status) and I will say the high-pressure sales tactics these people use are very deceptive and most everything that comes out of their mouths is a lie. I can honestly say we did love staying at different resorts while we were owners, but the maintenance fees kept rising every year and every time we stayed at the resort they tried to get us to upgrade our points. The salespeople do everything in their power to upsell and when you say NO, they go on the defense, and they are no longer "your friend" because to them you are only a number, and you are their paycheck. I had to pay 18 months of Maintenace fees through the Bluegreen Exit Program, but the money was worth it in the long run. High Pressure Sales Tactics and rising maintenance fees is what made my decision to get out of my Bluegreen Timeshare. A+++ for he Resorts, F--- for the Sales Team and Maint. Fees

They changed the rules for existing…
They changed the rules for existing owners….again. Be careful doing business with Bluegreen, they don’t have integrity.

Don't waste your time
Don't waste your time! My husband signed up for the vacation at Bass Pro and we went this past weekend to Myrtle Beach. We had to attend the "2 hour" presentation where we were told there would be no pressure to purchase and if we decide its not for us, no hard feelings and we can take our gift cards and go enjoy the rest of our vacation. After the sales pitch, you are put with a representative who tries to sell you on a package of points, this young man was nice enough. We had told him we were not really in a good position to purchase right now but still gave him the respect of listening, he had another guy who I suppose was the closer of the deal and he started out nice but as soon as we said no thanks, his attitude changed quickly! When I told them that we don't make decisions on the spot and prefer to pray about them, the 2nd guy decided to basically mock me and got up and left the table rather rudely. If I ever did decide to buy a timeshare, I would not buy from Bluegreen! We were lied to from the beginning, had to pay extra unexpected fees and were put in a less than desirable hotel and then treated rudely.

I just wanted to throw two cents out…
I just wanted to throw two cents out for people considering this. To be perfectly clear, this is not a review of BlueGreen's services because we DID NOT BUY. It is only a review of my experience in the sales pitch. Most people here are talking only about that experience because they had the good judgement to not purchase.
We just did their 2 hour pitch in return for buckets of gift cards, so we basically paid nothing for our stay in NH. It wasn't exactly an incredible stay, but much better than a motel or something. For the price, really great. It's a place I wanted to see anyway, so we would've paid more for less otherwise.
People seem to have a lot of negative experiences with the sales people at these BlueGreen pitches. While it is clear to me that this is a scam akin to a Ponzi scheme (how could any of this be profitable for Bluegreen unless they prey on the weak, there is no such thing as free lunch) we had a really great time talking to the salespeople. They were very kind locals of Lincoln, NH and my fiance and I enjoyed talking to them, and got a lot of great hike recommendations. NEVER FELT pressured to buy at all. They certainly made it sound too good to be true, and obviously it isn't true, but when we said we really needed to think about it, they were respectful and sent us home with giftcards in-hand. So glad we did not make a decision on the spot. But any issue I might have, I have with BlueGreen, and not the fine salespeople of Lincoln NH. I can't imagine there's too much opportunity in the area, and a job is a job. If you have an opportunity to go, I would recommend you listen to what they have to say. Do not buy anything, just enjoy your mostly-free 1 or 2 star hotel. If your expectations for stays are chronically high, maybe don't. If you can't say no to a salesperson, it might also not be for you.

They will never stop harassing you
It’s been over 10 years since I said no to this scam after doing a trial. And for 10 years, despite telling them to stop calling me, they continue to harass me and furthermore sell my number to other companies to harass me. They are THE WORST

Very Disappointed with the exit process
Very Disappointed with the exit strategy. My parents have paid for the entire mortgage and always paid the increasing high annual maintenance fees. Now that my father is deceased and mother in the nursing home, I called to give back their contract. I did not want anything, just wanted to get out of the contract.
They not only required that this years maint fees to paid, but also charged me 18 months in additional maint fees to get released from this contract. You know that they will just re-sell that same contract over again.
DO NOT GET SCAMMED BY THE SALES REPRESENTATIVES. My parents were lead to believe that they could end their contract easily. Well I guess if you write a big enough $check$ you can!

AWFUL EXPERIENCE - Deceptive tactics
Went into Bass Pro to shop and was invited to get a Bass Pro Credit card. As an incentive there was a sales rep from Blue Green Vacations who said for $299 you can have a 3 day vacation in one of many of their resorts. At no time were we told it was a timeshare property, that we would not be staying at one of the resorts but staying offsite, we would be responsible for the hotel taxes, and that we would have to sit through a 2 hr presentation. It was only after we reviewed the pamphlet in detail that we realized this was a timeshare. Called and wanted to cancel and was told they would not refund the $299 that was charged to our cc. Decided to make the best of it and take a trip. We traveled to Myrtle Beach and sat through a 2 hr presentation. It was the worse experience. The slick salesman tired to be funny but at times he was vulgar and offensive. During his spiel, he was trying to compare a hotel room with a 2 bedroom condo. He said with a hotel room, the parents are in one bed and the kids in the other and that you can't get "nasty with momma in the am" with kids in the same room. Then he points to a couple and says "Am I right?" and starts laughing. There were young kids in the room and I was embarrassed he was talking about morning sex with young kids in the room. He also said with a hotel room you only have one bathroom and when momma gets up in and "blows up the bathroom in the am" is the reason you need two bathrooms. Totally uncalled for. Most of the presentation was pics of him and his son on numerous vacations. He bragged how he has 20000 points and that he takes several vacations a year and doesn't pay for any of his trips. It was 2 hrs of pure hell. After the presentation we had a sit down with our own rep who was nice and pleasant. We explained the whole thing starting with the bass pro visit, and that had we known from the start we would not have even entertained purchasing the vacation. The only upside is that our personal rep knew that we were not at all interested and did not try to pressure us or keep us any longer than necessary.
