If anyone read my previous review, they'd know I had a rocky start with this meal delivery firm. However they redeemed themselves in my estimation by making it right in every way. First off, as I said in my now-edited review, the food was always excellent. I've tried Jenny Craig and Nutrisystem and in my opinion the food was bland and mediocre at best. Yes, this food is seasoned, one of their dishes actually has a bit of spicy heat to it. Bravo! Dieting doesn't have to be filled with boring food and a lack of flavor. My only complaint had been, as others have stated, a delay in my delivery. This has since been addressed by a very professional, friendly and apologetic customer service representative and I'm very happy with the outcome. Thank you Katie! I've lost weight, have had little to no hunger, and I love the food so I'm exceptionally happy that I'll be continuing with bistroMD. I plan on staying with them until I reach my goal. Thank you, bistroMD, for taking care of this customer!

When I try to change some of the items selected for my scheduled meal deliver, it takes a lot of time to get connected to my menu...I try to do this on Friday or Saturday after the products for the prior weeks order have been received, which should give me plenty of time before the next weeks shipment. Once on the site, to make these changes it is fast and easy...but getting their seems to just take a lot of time. Other than that the food is very tasty and seems very fresh.

When I stick to the Bistro md food, I am right on target with my macronutrients. Food is a little bit bland so everyone can add their own spices and salt to their taste.

I've been really happy with bistroMD! They let me help tailor what food I'll get (great for a somewhat picky eater like myself), and then they ship it to me each week. The meals are healthy and balanced and I've already lost 35 pounds in about 3 months! All without planning, shopping, cooking. I get the time to do activities I love, while still getting healthy! Both my wife and I are on the program and we are successfully losing weight. The food is good. If you get on this program then beware deliveries are not consistently delivered each week. There are glitches. Moreover, their system seems to be manual and inefficient. When we switched from 3 meals a day to two, we were asked to customize our order. We did this 3 times and yet did not get our customized order. Their technology is painfully slow and customizing a menu weekly is a chore. It was very frustrating and expensive to get food you don't want! Customer service passed us from one rep to another and nothing was accomplished. The two stars awarded are for the weight loss and food. Their customer service gets a zero!

Don't order from this company. Total rip off. They engage in negative option billing and are deliberately unclear about their billing practices. You have to call or email to actually cancel your account, despite the fact that you may cancel your deliveries. Very deceptive and when faced with complaints are unwilling to resolve any issues. Steer clear...this company is total crap!! I ordered a week of food, didn't like it and went into my account and cancelled all future deliveries. then 6 weeks later I get a surprise delivery and a charge of $220. When I called in about it, they tell me that to actually cancel i have to call in. WHAT THE HECK...I did that in my online account. Oh no, they tell me, you just put a hold on. Well that's not clear from the website. they failed to communicate that. When I explained the situation they refused to refund my money to accept the delivery back. At the very minimum they should be sending alert emails to let you know you're about to be charged. Of course, that would result in people catching these unwanted charges and they would make a lot less money. Very questionable business practices. I don't recommend dealing with this company at all.

I have been using Bistromd now for a couple of months. The food is advertised as gourmet, but in actuality is only average. Despite the latter, there has been a major fedex problem where although I was a long-time customer, there was no order made through Fedex one week. The representative tried to explain it away by indicating there are no guarantees of delivery. This had nothing to do with a no guarantee delivery. This was a real omission where someone in bistro or Fedex never ordered my food. For Bistro's steep price, I have a minimum expectation that my food is ordered and delivered. There have been other Fedex issues and if you are turned over to a supervisor, don't expect satisfaction. Isn't it sad that the those that represent Bistro do not honor an honest problem to a solid customer? Order at your own risk. Dr. Phil, NBC, Lifetime, The Biggest Loser and the Doctors need to address this because you are going to lose many customers. I am not the first one who has experienced these issues.

All of the food I have received has been wonderful. I'm always excited to try new dishes. As a single full-time employee and student, I have absolutely no time to plan and prepare meals, so BistroMD was a lifesaver. I've lost about 18 pounds so far and will continue to order food until I've lost even more!
