I'm happy :) don't listen to the haters out there.
My only bummer is that breakfasts aren't so great but hey what are you gonna do. Lunches and dinners I have been extremely happy with. It seems as if lunches and dinners have all natural ingredients for the most part and I like that. There is also a decent amount of food on your plate as well. I do get hungry from time to time and thank god I don't have bad food in the house. I will eat a healthy snack to satisfy if hungry. Any diet takes hard work and patience as this one does as well. It helps to have supportive people around you as well. Can't have people eating bad in front of you as it leads to temptation and relapse if you will. If they can't understand you're doing something awesome and they can't help you by not eating horribly in front of you ditch them lol! Back to BistroMD. I'm happy with the plan. No shopping and no cooking. Portion controlled meals and natural ingredients for the most part. The price is a little steep but I was eating out all the time and probably spent $740 or more doing anyway.
Anyway I would recommend it to friends and family for sure. I don't have much to lose as in weight but I plan on eating these meals for as long as I can see as they are natural, make me feel good and overall make my life easier.

By far and away the best diet meal program I have ever been on or heard of!
The prices are 20-50% lower than other high end competitors that offer "Gourmet Food" that is no better if as good. I have ordered off and on or semi-regularly when I could afford it, since late 2010. To start with, the customer service is excellent and anyone on the call in or web-chat staff would do an excellent job for you. But I have used Adrian Gardner now for every order since early 2011 and she is fantastic. Takes the time to help me customize my meal plan and makes suggestions when new dishes come out, or if they dont have a favorite available.
The food is simply amazing, it is freshly prepared by real gourmet quality chefs, flash frozen, and shipped directly to your door in a cooler on dry ice via FedEx. When it arrives the 7 day plan is 7 breakfasts, 7 lunches, 6 dinners (allowing for one cheat-night dinner a week, which is encouraged). Every meal microwaves in a matter of minutes, and I have to say I have NEVER tried a dish I would not order again, not one. And I would say I have sampled probably 90% of the offerings! Some of my favorite meals are: Beef with Red Wine Sauce, Grilled Salmon Lemon Dijon Dressing, Chicken Breast with Roasted Garlic Veloute, Talapia Orange Parsley Sauce, Thai Peanut Chicken, Mediterranean Chicken, Picadillo with Plantains, Ricotta Crepe with Berry Compote, and Stuffed French Toast! I could go on and on, there are so many more! I typically order 3-4 breakfasts and make my own the other days. This allows me to get more lunches and dinners and stretch the 7 day plan a few days longer. I do not typically order snacks, save the money, but the cheesecakes are AMAZING and worth trying!!!
Now to the results, when I was able to stay on this plan consistently for about 11 months back in 2010-2011, I was able to lose over 65lbs! To give you a background on myself. I am 6 feet tall, I have a very high muscle density, and have always been overweight since about the age of 9. My body fat % hovered at 20-25% in High School but I was very fit as I was a 3 sport athlete and in Air Force JROTC. I worked out 2-3 times a day 6 days a week for years. As I got into my 20's that % got above 30, eventually pushing close to 40% by the time I started BMD. I was un-fit, out of shape, not working out, eating terribly, relatively inactive, and unhappy with myself. I ballooned to as high as 320+lbs by May of 2010. That is when I started implementing changes. That lead me to bistroMD by November of that year and this is what happened:
I was eating 1-2 meals from bistroMD per day as I would stretch a 7-day order over a 10-14 day period typically. Eating bistroMD at least 1 meal a day, but often only 1 during the two or so Christmas/New Years weeks, supplemented with too much candy, cookies, treats, alcohol, and way to many fattening non-BMD holiday meals. I was still able to lose about 10.5lbs in December, and be down a total of 28lbs by February 1st. I went from about 312lbs on November 30th 2010 (right after a week of Thanksgiving feasting and leftovers), down to around 247lbs at my low weight, which I hit around mid-May of 2011 and stayed within 6lbs of that weight every day until I stopped regularly ordering in November 2011 (my last order was Nov. 4th). During this time I workedout in some way 1-3 times per week, often that was just a walk on the beach as I lived in Boca Raton at the time. I was very busy so I did not have time for intense workouts. Had I been working out intensely for 30 mins-1hr 4-5 days a week, I beleieve I would have been much lighter and healthier. Since the end of 2011 I have only been able to order meals between 1 and 8 times per year, so my weight has fluctuated and gone back up somewhat. thanks to them I will definitely never be at a 300+lb weight again! But I know I could probably get down below 230lbs if I could even get back on the program I was on in 2011, and who knows how much lower if I could afford to order meals every week and eat this way every mean every day!
I spent several months in 2014 on NutriSystem, trying every offer they had and every type of meal that they had. If I could have stayed on their frozen meals 3 times a day, which were the only edible/appetizing ones, then perhaps I could have seen some reasonable results, but not what I saw with BMD, and the fact is the frozen meals they provide are full of preservatives, they are not fresh, they are not natural, and they have tons of processed meats and other food products. bistroMD offers many all natural and healthy meals and nothing they make is processed or filled with preservatives and chemicals. Also NurtriSystems meals are almost all heavy with carbs, because thats how they fill you up on 8oz's of food. bistroMD only uses complex carbs, and even tho the food quantities tend to be a little larger than NutriSystem, the calories are almost always equal or lower with far less carbs, sodium, and and sugars.

Meals are good but too salty.
I like most of the dishes quite a bit, but I do find them too salty. Also, I would like more variety, if possible. For example, could you add sandwiches for lunch?

First contact was rude but all the other representatives were very good. Great plan but doesn't taste good ...... allergic reactions to the sulfide and other ingredients
Great customer service. Great plan. A bit spendy, about $840 to $1000 per month but worth it if you can do it. My results were NOT satisfactory and it was an expensive experiment as there is no money back guarantee with MyBistro. The food is real frozen food, unlike other plans that are dehydrated and powdered. Please read the review though, as I found there were some real issues in how the food tastes, is preserved and presented.
The FIRST ORDER I placed the customer service representative was RUDE and acted a bit irritated, rushed me through the process and did not adequately answer my questions. All the OTHER representatives after my initial call though, were very GOOD.
The following account is why I rated 2 stars (or even 1 for the food if I could). I would give 4 stars for the continuing customer service.
Here's the issues I faced:
Something went wrong on my first order, it didn't arrive on time and food was no longer refrigerated at a safe temperature to eat. Customer service was VERY GOOD at crediting appropriately and helping with my next order, but I did have to wait for another order/shipping cycle to get started to see what the food was like. Because of the ordering and shipping cycle, it's difficult to sample the majority of the food until you are on your THIRD order. You are placing your SECOND order while just barely receiving the FIRST order to see if you like it. If you are trying other items from the menu on your second order, you really won't have a good idea of what you like until you are in the process of ordering your third order. That's why it can get expensive to just it it all figured out.
HOWEVER, on my following order when I actually got to TRY it, most of the lunch and dinner menu had a taste that was just too odd for my pallet and ..... had a lot of SULFIDES in it. I did not know about the Sulfides as I was a new customer. The main problem for that was attributed to my first customer service representative who was rude and impatient, rushing me through the process without adequately answering my questions, including the ones about additives and preservatives. He made no effort to help me get it right. For what you are paying, it should be right!!!! So as a result, I didnt have all the information I needed to properly order and to make a WELL INFORMED decision. He didn't listen to me, was impatient and just rushed me through the order.
Note: (Your HAVE TO COMMIT AND BUY THE SYSTEM FIRST to be able to SEE AND REVIEW it online, to see all of the menu items and learn where the listing of ingredients is and see what is offered.). But I was rushed by the Customer Service Rep. and didn't have opportunity get the proper help and support to check it all out. You cannot explore the menu before you've committed to buy.You cannot review it way ahead of time.
The following was a BIG PROBLEM:
I had a very terrible ALLERGIC REACTION!!! Now, Customer Service had CLAIMED the food to be "ALL NATURAL" and from "local resources" is what I was told when I was trying to get some info about the food BEFORE ordering. I was asking about preservatives and where the animal products came from, where the fish came from.
What I DID FIND OUT when I received my order is that All the FISH has SULFIDES added to it and some of the CHICKEN as well. I didn't order the dark meats so I haven't the info on that. ..... but I kept asking if the fish was wild caught when placing my order and when I tried to get clarification on the issues and where the fish came from, it was difficult to get them to say where the fish came from. They were very hesitant and not forthcoming at all. Customer service tries to stick to their script and is trained to tell the customer that all the fish is "RAISED in their NATURAL Environment" (this is not wild caught) (I heard this from three of the representatives, in the EXACT same words) ...... So for example I found out , the Salmon is FED an extra suppliment to ENHANCE their colour..... Therefore, the Salmon is FED by machines and people on a Fish Farm and RAISED/Harvested ....... ........ NOT WILD CAUGHT. The info is available about the colour enhancing food given to the Salmon is on the box label and in the menu ingredients once you commit to buying the Plan you can read it. Also the Salmon has a "spongy" texture as well. I didn't order any other fish or meats except for the turkey (no sulfides) and chicken (that has sulfides) which looked ok in texture but not great and the majority of it is pressed/processed. Bottom line is that I had NO KNOWLEDGE of the SULFIDES until I actually received my order tasted a couple of meals, had an allergic reaction, and then realized what the ingredients were and started to read everything on the lables. I never would have suspected it as I was informed that the food was "all natural"
There is also something else, some OTHER INGREDIENT in the food that I'm having reactions to and tastes funky. They also put an "as- if -grilled" taste/effect into most of the fish, bird and meat dishes. There is an overriding taste that makes all the dinner and many of the lunch dishes smell and taste almost the same. Breakfasts are pretty GOOD and the PASTAS with marinara sauces are pretty GOOD, though. Yes, I realize this is "diet food" but it is expensive and I expected a more natural taste, especially as they claim to be all natural. Not all infused with all this other stuff , not to mention Sulfides. ALL THE DESERTS are GOOD. Additionally, they have a NEW programme now that delivers for convenience, for seniors and people on "regular diets" ..... but it's all the same food and same taste and ingredients. It's for the most part just arranged differently and proportionately
CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS BEEN GREAT in trying to work with me to make this plan work, but I'm finding I can't eat most of the lunches, none of the dinners and few of the snacks. So it's not worth it. The snacks are ok, not great but tolerable if the rest wasn't so bad. So, considering the issues I'm having with the MyBistro food, I will not be continuing the programme.
But even though it's pricey @ about $820 - $1000 per month, it could work nicely for some people. If you do not have any sensitivity or don't mind the strange tasts and textures, it might be worth a try. Customer Service WILL DO every thing they can to help you!!
I gave a 2 Star because 95% of the food that I paid for I could not eat. The whole first order was spoiled when I received it and the next order is being donated. Customers Service would get a 4 Star. Because the first representative was preoccupied, uninterested and rushing me on my very first order and was impatient in answering my questions, but all the rest are wonderful!!!
I hope this review was helpful, best wishes on your journey.

Easy on the housework and hard on the wallet
I loved the fact I didn't have to grocery shop, plan or cook meals, minimal dishes to wash and lost weight plus kept blood sugar level perfect I have minimal retirement income and some social security but felt the price was more than I would have spent on groceries which is about $250 a month compared to $800. I also had trouble eating all of the lunch and dinners leaving half to another day or meal. Never tempted to eat other food.

Quality of Food
I have had stomach issues for years and as a 51 year old woman, I am that time of my life where my body has changed substantially. I've been on Bistro MD for a few weeks now and my stomach issues have essentially gone away. I took a week off as I was on vacation and was back to eating all the food I used to eat and my stomach issues returned. I'm sold on the quality of this product. I haven't lost any weight but I feel so much better. I'm hopeful the weight loss will come and am going to stick with it.

This is soo easy and I'm being successful....
This makes it very easy to eat healthy and lose the weight once and for all. I don't have to think about grocery shopping or what to cook for dinner, lunch. etc. It is helping me understand what a healthy portion looks like and that I can be satisfied with this smaller amount of food. Also the importance of healthy snacks.
I've been able to eat healthier on the weekends when I don't have the meal plan as well. It has motivated me to start working out in the gym as too. Looking forward to meeting my goals and I know my doctor will be pleased with this progress as well.
