This company does not value you or your time. They allow bookings every 5 minutes (used to be 15), allow more physicals to be done which intrudes on you as a donor (new people jump the waiting lines), they are under-staffed and computers are down, making wait times for questionnaires, testing, bed waits, start times, and disconnect times outrageous.but they do not care. You can't get in touch with corporate and they never answer emails/inquiries sent thru the app. And the $ they pay slowly shrink to $100 per week. Find another company-you are worth thousands per bag of plasma but you get nothing but $100 and huge wait times.

Rewards Program is Insulting
The people have all been great and I haven’t had any bad experiences. The biggest complaint is the new bogus Rewards Program. It’s incredibly insulting that after 6 donations you can cash in for $5. They have significantly decreased the weekly payout since I joined the program as well. What used to be $125-140 has not been $110-115. The program is just making them more money.

I go to Bio Life on W Arbrook in Arlington Texas
I go to Bio Life on W. Arbrook in Arlington Texas. I guess you could call me a veteran there. I started donating in May of 2022, twice a week.
Today my donation took a little longer because there was a bit of a slow down with one donor. When Deanna came to unhook me she apologized for the delay, I may have been there an extra 15 minutes that’s all. My normal time is an hour and a half.
Everyone from front techs, to nurses to the techs in the back have always been very friendly and professional.
They’re always changing their gloves, the techs are great with the stick to. They make sure you’re comfortable, I’ve seen a few people nervous the first time because of the needle stick. The tech always takes the time and explains the procedure.
Everyone from Emily, Bethany, Brandin, Sandra, Kai, Janeye, Deanna, and the rest of the crew have always tested me with the upmost respect.
I love this place and plan on continuing to donate.

Employee ‘Luke’ is awesome!
The Vancouver BioLife center is very clean, and professional. Their staff are very friendly! I am especially impressed with employee ‘LUKE’. While they were drawing my plasma, he was walking around, making eye contact with all the donors, asking if they were OK. I really appreciate that kind of service! Well done!

My very first, second donation was BAD
My very first, and second donation at BioLife Warren was TERRIBLE.
Apparently,
they must be understaffed, because they take a looonnng time before they stick you,
and set up your machine! (20-40 minutes)
The lady next to me, was laying there for
55 minutes, and ultimately, left without donating. (A BAD omen, I should have heeded)
First donation, I told them use my RIGHT arm, (I've done several donations at CSL,
and they told me my left vein can shift)
but for some reason, the machine stopped
pulling blood, then they "adjusted" the needle, (pushed it in FURTHER) causing pain...
Clearly, the lady doing this was unfamiliar
with hidden veins, which I have, and told her
so.
In her defense, she DID ask another employee to restock my left vein.
(I'm buying my FIRST house, a HUD, and
the inspection fees ADD UP, so I need
this money)
Unfortunately, the other tech, didn't have
much experience with hidden veins either!
So, she just stuck it in without searching first. She "adjusted" the needle as well...
(Pushed it in further) ... More pain.
End result, DOUBLE HEMATOMA, didn't finish donation, at least got money for the
house inspection, but they IGNORED the
hematomas, and just wrapped me up.
No ice pack!
Second donation, left a review on app,
(Techs NEED to train for hidden veins!)
got a $25. Bonus for next donation,
came in ONLY if I got an EXPERIENCED
technician!
Long story short, SAME RESULT, but
a bit WORSE.
I waited FIVE DAYS before coming back,
and the same thing happened again.
(At least she didn't do the "adjustment")
However,
the hematomas are HUGE, two are 2-3 inches long! (Patches) two smaller ones
are half inch each. (WTH???)
Needless to say,
I've had ENOUGH of this place, I'm NOT
coming back.
The money helped me, but it's not worth it
risking my health.
(I don't want DAMAGED veins)
Four days, and my arm is still stiff, and achy.

Bad experience - hematoma
The last time I donated plasma at the AF locations, they pocketed me incorrectly (too deep) so that when the blood was returned to my body, it went under my skin instead of my vein. That caused me a hematoma and severe pain in my left arm. The only thing they did was put ice on my arm and give me instructions on how to take care of something they caused. When I left, I could barely lift my arm and was in a lot of pain. However, the worst came after; almost my whole arm is purple and still hurts when I try to lift something. I went to see the nurse, and she tried to convince me that the problem was my veins, when the problem was their staff.

Give Al a raise!!!
My experience at Biolife Plasma in Warren, MI was excellent. It was my first time today and Nurse Al (short for Albert, I believe) was very professional and easy to talk to. He was kind enough to offer me a snack and went over every single little detail with me to make sure I understood what I was getting myself into. I asked him questions and he would go above and beyond with the answers. Listening to him talk instantly calmed me down and prepared me for my first donation. His professionalism and positive attitude shouldn’t go unnoticed. 100% would recommend!
