I’ve had the absolute worst experience. It’s a total scam. They purposely have a max credit of 5k but also make you have at least 5 subscriptions linked to the card in order to get your points. You are likely to hit the credit limit because rents in nyc are so expensive so the autopsy never goes through and they start charging late fees and such. I have been battling with them for 20 days now emails and messages back and forth because they don’t have a phone line for customer service. They processed my rent payment as a card statement rather than a rent payment so my building hasn’t been paid and they won’t return me my $4.8k I paid already that they did not process correctly. They are asking me to submit another rent payment. So pay rent TWICE and gift them $4.8k. The headache and time spent in this bs is not worth their garbage points. I feel they are managed by the same people of fyre festival lol

I've been a user of Bilt for quite some time, initially, it was a fantastic, Everything was conveniently linked to a single card, making it easy to manage my rental payments along with other bills and insurance. The process was seamless and automatic, which was a major selling point for me. However, Bilt has recently changed its policy, and now the entire experience is a hassle. Instead of the previous automated setup, I now have to log in to Bilt about a week before my payment is due, create a Bill Pay, and only then will my rental payment go through. The most frustrating part is that there is no way to set up automatic payments. Once a Bill Pay is created, it only stays active for 5 days. If I miss that window or forget to log in, my payment won't go through. This is especially concerning if I'm on vacation or dealing with a busy schedule. The added stress of having to manually log in every month to create a Bill Pay is a huge inconvenience. If I don't authorize the payment in time, there's a risk of the transaction being declined, which could lead to late fees from my bank or the payment processing platform. On top of that, their customer service is a nightmare. They don’t provide a phone number for support, and you’re left with only chat or email options. The chat is painfully slow, with every response taking 2–3 minutes. This makes it incredibly difficult to resolve any issues quickly. What was once a simple, automated process has become unnecessarily complicated. It feels like a step backward, and the risk of missed payments is something I’d rather not deal with.

I've had the card for a year. Lats year customer service was AMAZING!!! This year, they probably pulled a lot of their customer service out (reduce cost) because WF was loosing money. SO this year, they are like robots. They wouldn't answer a question because of security issues. But it's my card, my account and they verified me; no, can't do it - SECURITY.

I applied for a card and hadn’t received the physical card in the mail for 3 weeks. I called customer service and they passed me to 12 PEOPLE who all could not answer why I hadn’t received it. Finally, when the last transfer wouldn’t go through, the lady LET ME KNOW that my account had been canceled because I didn’t respond to a letter I had never received. Putting aside the fact that they closed my account and didn’t notify me at all, you’re telling me 11 people couldn’t see that when they pulled up my information?? They all give me different reasons as to why I hadn’t received the card “still processing”, “address updated”, etc. but no one knew that my account had closed?? And had closes because I didn’t receive a letter that I was never told would be sent to me? When I was proved my approval email stated “you will receive your card in 7 business days” NOTHING about another letter that I had to fill out and send back. Don’t even bother with this card or their customer service.

Leaked credit card data, canceled without automatically renewing. Called three days in a row, each time they lied. First guy said Apple Pay would work in 5 min, but it didn’t. Second guy said it would arrive tomorrow. Third guy said it would arrive 1-3 business days. Either the company has no standardization of policy/information, or their employees are liars who just don’t care. Maybe both

Rent benefit -- very misleading. You must spend $309,000 on the Bilt card to qualify for a $1700 rent benefit. Here's the math: Earning Bilt Points: 1. Rent Payments → Earn 1 point per $1 (if paid via Bilt Mastercard). 2. Dining → Earn 3 points per $1. 3. Travel → Earn 2 points per $1. 4. Other Purchases → Earn 1 point per $1. ________________________________________ Scenario 1: Earning via Rent Only • If you only earn points from rent payments (1 point per $1 spent),you'd need to spend $309,091 on rent to accumulate 309,091 points.

HORRIBLE scamming company! I was really upset when my apartment complex adopted this payment method for rent because they want you to either get their credit card or link your bank account. Otherwise, they charge you $9.95 to pay your rent with your debit card! On top of that, if you have multiple card payments ( roommates), it taps into the main account to pull the money even though another form of payment was selected. Had to go through my bank to cancel their attempts to hijack my bank account! And get this: they tried to take that exact amount from BOTH accounts as in double dip! These pay-your-rent apps are scams and just bleed money out of people. They shouldn't be allowed to operate.

Agree with the other reviews, this company is trash. I pay my rent through them at an Avalon Bay Communities property. After I was told (via bot text, obviously they have no customer service), I could cancel a payment I had made that day, it was never cancelled and cleared my bank, because my statement reflected a cancelled payment. Even when I called my communities customer service that assured me the payment would only PE processed once, they took it twice. Management company said take it up with your bank, Built won’t address it at all.
