Sh*te customer support, sh*te portal, all against my will because of my landlord, won't even take my bloody card without saying i have insufficient funds when I do not, and believe me I checked. Their customer support takes forever to do ANYTHING in response to a message, and their subreddit is full of stuck up yanks who think they're better than everyone else and make fun of people for their payments failing due to glitches and insult people's intelligence for not liking the payment system. Not once did I post a problem of my own, but i did report a few people and call them rude. Reddit should close their sub as unmoderated. ANYWAY! It's tiktok brainrot the payment portal AND it doesn't even make your payments. I am old, I do not want this. I am already dealing with my landlord treating me like absolute crap and being upset my apartment doesnt have the white glove treatment when he inspected it to add another roommate that I did not even want. So a snobby brainrot payment portal where nobody helps you? Spew! Get me out of here. I'll be paying via check! Also yes. I never recieved any help for their customer support just "please wait" for 10 minutes over and over from their customer rep. Tell me, is it all AI? I blame that brat Elon Musk. South African tycoon nepo baby ruined society.

This will be an interim report as I've only just established a Bilt account. As a preface, I am not in any way interested in so-called "rewards," more credit cards, etc., and would just like to pay my rent as I've enjoyed with Zego. So my initial account setup with Bilt went all right, a plus, except for unwanted email ads; there is an unsubscribe option but they do not specify what all you would be unsubbing from -- only the ads, or important messages?, a double minus. I then went to pay rent, and the correct amount was showing, a plus. I needed to set up banking and at that point, instead of simply putting in my routing number as with Zego, a list of banks appeared putting me in panic mode, as my bank was not listed ... however, fortunately, kept clicking and at last found my bank. A minus here ... why are you limiting renters to a list of selected banks instead of simply accepting a bank's routing number, as Zego and other rent-pay companies do? Another company, Plaid, was involved in the need to link my bank to Bilt; and the disclaimer was scary ... I had to give blanket authorization to view details of my bank account that they chose to, at least that's how it sounded, and that is a huge minus. Having set up banking I then hit the pay button and received confirmation screen and email, a plus. But unfortunately I added more money than I owe. Less than 2 hours after this, I attempted to correct the amount but got screen saying there was no option for that. A minus ... why shouldn't there be a few hours window to edit the amount, as long as the edited amount is at least as much as the rent owed? I was able to opt out of Bilt's default renting/selling my personal information to unaffiliated companies, on the privacy page, there was a button for that. A plus here. I'll wait to see how long Bilt takes to show my landlord the payment is processed. I'll also see how easy or hard it is to find out how I can opt out of ads while still subscribing to important information. So far, I think the pluses and minuses are about equal and therefore am giving a tentative rating of 3. Will update this later on.

BILT is fraught with billing mistakes, double charges, and has horrible customer service when you try to fix the issues. They will not provide transparent ledgers and you have to take them to court.

I’ve been charged twice and booked same hotel room twice on the same day somehow. The customer service is MIA, AI chat bot doesn’t know how to cancel hotel reservations. I’ve been sent back and forth to BILT then Wells Fargo then Mastercard and none of those worked. Incredibly frustrating and time consuming. Will not recommend bothering using their services.

Zero stars-you can't get a person, and the BOT gives the same response over and over. They stated I could speak with a representative in 5 minutes or less- I waited over an hour. Also even though we were paying rent through BILT for over 18 mos we earned zero points! They should be forced to shut down.

I'd give a 0 if possible. They have no phone customer service, and their online chatbot gives the same unhelpful response over and over and over. Companies like this one should be forced out of business!!!
