Terrible way to pay bills
Who asked for this crap? I just want a very simple way to pay rent. Stop monetizing everyday tasks. It's the most useless and idiotic idea I've ever seen. I hope your company fails.

BILT doesn’t care about their users. Now they are changing from a rent card which was the entire point of their company to a generic credit card. This is misleading and fraudulent. I hope the company dies for good.

I was a bit frustrated by a limited time promo order that I placed by mistake on the BILT app. Yet, the BILT support team was able to offer me a resolution which was more than fair. Very grateful for their support!

Poor communication Can not speak to a human

The design of this website is a deliberate attempt to use circular logic that prevents you from reaching their Customer Service, despite following the links provided. Attempts to use the chat function are useless, as the pop-up window never appears. They won't even give an email address, forget about a phone number. I want to delete my account, especially all the credit card info. Since this is impossible to do, following the provided instructions, I will have to cancel all of my accounts (12 in total), indicate that Bilt is a fraud, and hopefully prevent them from using my information. My last recourse will be to contact the various Federal Regulatory agencies and file reports against them. I'm also going to file a complaint with my State's Attorney General's office's Consumer Fraud Division. Once again, I've learned that nothing is free, and NEVER give out your Credit Card info to a third party. That's just asking for trouble.

While the concept of earning rewards on rent payments is appealing, the execution falls far short due to abysmal customer service. The Good: The convenience of paying rent and collecting points is nice in theory. The Bad: Point accumulation is extremely minimal, so don't expect significant rewards. The Unacceptable: Customer service is an absolute disaster. Getting help is nearly impossible: No direct phone line to reach a live agent for regular account issues You're forced to use chat support with wait times of 30+ minutes Even when delinquent accounts get a phone number, the representatives are unhelpful and redirect you back to chat anyway They have no problem creating issues but provide no reasonable way to resolve them My Experience: We were enrolled in automatic payments, which somehow got changed without our knowledge or consent. This resulted in our account becoming delinquent. When we tried to resolve it, we hit wall after wall trying to reach someone who could actually help. The frustration of spending hours trying to fix their mistake while being passed between useless channels is unacceptable. Bottom Line: Unless you're willing to gamble with nonexistent customer support when issues arise, look elsewhere. The minimal rewards aren't worth the headache.

I am forced to pay my rent through BILT. While I have no problems (I pay via bank transfer), this company is just another debt trap. Do not use it literally just a scam. Don’t fall for the advertising you will end up paying more for rent and anything else you use them for.

Awful. Incomprehensible website- can't find my payment history. They missed paying last months rent, despite having autopay set up. When I called Wells Fargo customer service they said a half hour wait time. When I asked Bilts online robot helper, it said 30 minute wait time! The "rewards" are on par with groupon and it would require full time study to see what was 'on sale' , for how many points, on what days. Who does that? Here is a snippet of my useless chat with their online agent: How can a website be designed so poorly, in 2025, so that I cant figure out where to find statement of payments made. And once found, in a totally non intuitive spot, months are missing? I need to know if my December rent weas paid. now. Agent avatar Thank you for your patience. After reviewing your account, we can see that the payment made on Dec 1, 2025, failed due to insufficient available credit in your Bilt Mastercard at the time your rent payment was processed. You'll want to make any corrections and resubmit your rent payment if you have not already. If anything else is needed, just let me know! There were no notifications that my balance was low, with an upcoming payment needed? Bilts response:In this case, since Wells Fargo is your card issuer, Wells Fargo is going to be the best resource here—they're the only ones who can access that information and provide the help you need. You can reach them at 833-404-2272. To skip the automated system and speak directly with someone, press 0 twice when you call—this should get you to an agent faster. We know it's frustrating to be redirected, but they'll be able to get you the answers you're looking for. We're going to escalate to our Wells Fargo contacts on our end as well; however, we recommend you reach out to them again directly. If you run into any trouble or have questions after speaking with them, please don't hesitate to reach back out. We're here to support you however we can.
