Went into video counseling because due to the pandemic, I could not see someone live. After the first few visits, i was comfortable opening up to the counselor and it was actually fun speaking from my own home. They pair you with a counselor that they think you will get along with, but it's super easy to change if you want to, and they have counselors from all over the country! It was a great help to me and I bet that if you give them a try, you will like it too!

I lost my beautiful wife to cancer last year and avoided any type of counseling, until my doctor suggested either medication or speaking to someone. With the Covid, getting help was limited, so I took a friend's suggestion for BetterHelp. This has been amazing for me. My counselor has been great and has provided me with insight and direction I could not have imagined on my own. She even gives me homework to do which I find fantastic as it provides so much comfort and helps me to smile more. Thats the feedback I am getting from my family and friends, is that my smile is returning. I thank my counsellor for that.

This app has been helpful and constructive. The variety of professionals makes it very flexible. It took me many tries to find the right counselor for me, but once I connected with one of them, I felt heard and cared for. Counting with help from God was also helpful.

I've been very grateful for my BetterHelp counselor over the last year. He's been so helpful for providing support, ideas, and healthy shifts in perspective that allow me to put unhealthy thought patterns to rest! One of the things I like best is that it's on my schedule and terms. Sometimes we chat many times in a day, sometimes I go from week to week with just a quick check-in, and other times we hop on a video call. It's all according to my needs, and not on a rigid schedule like you might get with a traditional in-person therapist. It's a really fantastic way to go!
