I'll keep it brief
I'll keep it brief. It's worth taking the chance. Especially if therapy has let you down in the past.

I’ve been on the BH platform on and off for at least several years. It’s helped me to reach my wellness goals. Overall the counselors have been pretty good. Just remember that you have the freedom to switch until you find the therapist best suited to help you with whatever you wish to work on. The workshops and groups have been great. Highly recommended, thanks BH!

Great app! It’s cheap and the classes are unlimited and chefs kiss cause they hit the nail on the head every time! I really do appreciate this app

Mary listened to me. She offered real time, solid advice, with real life answers, not just try this or that. I'm glad I got her as my therapist.

I did Betterhelp on the advice of my cousin who I think did it herself. She's swimming in money so she can I afford it, I literally had to invest most of one month's salary to try it out for about a month. I was desperate and was really hoping to get help. In spite of my preferences, I got matched with a therapist who basically just told me to see a doctor for menopause and to take pills, then proceeded to try and "evangelise" me (when I specified non-religious). It took ages to get matched with another therapist, whom I only got to see twice (good luck with finding / booking a free session, which was graveyard shift for me (so ruined sleep, great for your mental health) cos I am in Asia) and when I did the time got used up talking about nothing and she never got around to asking me about why I needed help in the first place. The interim time got used up signing up for "group therapy" sessions which are basically like Youtube live talks where you get to ask questions during the session. That's how the extremely expensive for me month got used up, it's like signing up for an online class with videos, and then at the end of the month they ask you to subscribe or renew so you can keep flushing money down the toilet. So maybe betterhelp will work for you, but be prepared to spend a lot

We're sorry to hear you were no table to make the most out of your membership, Imogen! Our Member Success team can typically help with a personalized matching process if your first therapist isn't the right fit. They can also help extend your billing cycle to allow more time for you to determine if the new therapist is right. We'd be happy to see if there's anything we can do to work with you on extending your current membership and offering some direct support if you're willing. I've requested the email address linked to your BetterHelp account so that we can reach out to you directly.
