Love Beehiiv for their simplicity and community! Launched a few Newsletters here for my clients and they're happy with the results.

Beehiiv is a really BAD platform for newsletters. I just uploaded my email list and they blocked my account without any warning. Their policy is not user-friendly at all. You spend 3 to 5 months growing your newsletter, and once you upload some lists, they automatically block your account and never reopen it. I have 5+ years of professional digital/email marketing experience and have used multiple ESPs aside from beehiiv. beehiiv is the easiest + most enjoyable to use, makes it a breeze to start creating, and has all of the reporting and audience management tools I could want. Plus, beehiiv's monetization tools (paid recommendations and built-in ad network) make it so easy to earn real $$$. Also, all of the tutorials, guides, and support (with real humans!) are top notch.

Sold as a stronger product than Substack, but is an immature product beneath the surface and has caused our company a lot of (ongoing) headache. Probably fine for writers just getting started, but in no way is this a replacement for Substack. Table stakes features break often, others don't function correctly, some don't even exist. Since launching our website a week ago it's already been down once. They're integration with Stripe is full of errors and has created a ton of friction with our customers, leading to churn so if you are thinking about monetizing, I would consider other options until beehiiv matures. The product has potential but they need to stop taking on customers until their product and team can adequately support that many. We're stuck on beehiiv now at least for a bit, and it's been frustrating. Update since writing original review 4/10: while it seems beehiiv has made minor improvements, they still continue to launch shiny features while ignoring underlying platform stability and major technical problems. It's increasingly concerning that our website continues to be down out of nowhere, while the support team only goes one step to test and report no issues from their end, rather than trusting the customer-reported issue and investigating accordingly.

I made my first website in 2005 and jumped on the newsletter bandwagon in 2012 in a corporate gig; I've used many products. My past workings include Apple (iBooks/iBooks Author). I say this to say: Beehiiv is my second favorite brand, closely behind Apple. The community is incredible. The folks behind the brand are genuine and are the type of individuals that you can do real-world life with. I'll go to bat for the bees. Always. Thank you for helping me both personally (beehiiv has helped my health of mind) and professionally (I like making money with beehiiv).

This is hands-down the best newsletter platform out there. Not only is the customer service one of the best and fastest to get back to you, but with the built-in Ad Network, you can literally earn money just by sending out your newsletter. Who else is paying you to do what you love? A serious no-brainer. Call me Ms. Beehiiv.
