Beehiiv disabled my account without any prior warning or opportunity to address the issue, leaving my team in a difficult position. The explanation provided by Colby at Beehiiv was as follows: “Your account has been disabled due to specific violations of our Acceptable Use Policy for Prohibited Behavior: beehiiv is not an email marketing platform. We don’t permit publications that are set up with the sole purpose of advertising an external product or service, distributing offers and promotions, or similar activity.” This response highlights Beehiiv’s arbitrary enforcement of vague policies. It’s concerning that they failed to communicate any concerns beforehand or allow for a resolution. Instead, they chose to abruptly cut off access, disrupting our operations and showing little regard for their users’ businesses. For business owners, especially those looking for reliability and professionalism, Beehiiv is not the platform you can count on. There are better alternatives that provide transparency, proactive communication, and respect for their customers’ time and efforts. Beehiiv has proven to be unreliable and dismissive in its approach.
