I am now on my second GPS unit. The first one only held a charge for 14 hours. I sent it back and they sent me a replacement. This second one now only holds a charge for 15 hours. They are suppose to last for 48 hours. I do not have much good to say about Bay Alarm Medical at this point. David

Easy installation and activation process. Only things I would change is make the "calling list" that you specify available online, and a little more flexible (i.e. multiple people notified, not just stop once one person gets notified). Also, it seems to take a long time to answer the call button, it's a little disconcerting if it was an emergency.

When researching for a Medical alert System for my mother (who lives in Maine; I live in NJ), my husband found excellent reviews for Bay Alarm Medical, so he printed out all the information for me. I read through it, then called to get more details. Customer Service was extremely courteous and helpful, and I immediately ordered the system during this initial phone call. I had everything shipped to me, then traveled to Maine 1 week later. Setting up the system was very easy, and checking the pendant button in multiple locations within both her apartment and around the apartment building itself was just as easy. My mother readily accepted the device, particularly since the pendant is small and lightweight; she is only 4'9", so it was nice to have something not too large or bulky. I also purchased the GPS mobile button, which has a small pouch to make it easily portable. Although we did not need to use the (well-constructed) lock box that's included (since she lives in a building that has a Knox box for emergency personnel), it would be a definite plus for someone who lives in a private home or a less generally secure building. Also, as compared to other medical alert systems, Bay Alarm is well priced. The good reviews that encouraged me to purchase this system are definitely true, and this is one more excellent review to add to the list! Living 6 hours away form my mother is now a lot easier, since I have fewer worries about her safety!

My experience was excellent. I spoke with a representative (Sara) that very helpful, she explained the different option that best suit my mothers need. She walked me thru the entire installation process that was very simple. I really appreciate all the help. I love the equipment and how easy it is to used. I feel that my mom, who lives alone, is now safe and able to get medical attention, within minutes. Excellent experience.

Ordering was easy. Set up was easy. Test was easy- very professional and courteous response. Only issue was the documents sent by email were initially corrupted files. The paper copies came with the kit but my mother-in-law lost them. They were just the packing return instructions and registration it turns out. Happy so far...

Bay alarm is great!

We tested the alarm system and the customer service was very patient with us, allowing us to test different locations in the house. The ordering process was fast and easy, an excellent transaction.
