Batelle was a miracle worker. We signed up because we were at our wits end. Our LO was cosleeping, would take about an hour to fall asleep every night with us rocking/holding her and her needing to put her fingers on our face (and sometimes in our mouths 🥴). She also woke up a few times in the middle of the night and on some nights would take about 45m - 2hrs to fall back to sleep after a wake up. We were sleep deprived and it was starting to take a toll on our relationship.
This is where Batelle came in. I chose them, after much research, because of their beliefs in emotionally supporting your child through this transition. We did not want to do a CIO method so this was perfect.
I will admit that the on-board process is a bit complex but the great thing is their communication is constant, even before we fully began. Without their 24/7 communication through the app, it would have been difficult for us to implement each step. So we are thankful for their constant guidance and support.
By the end of class (roughly 2 weeks), my baby is now asleep (or self regulating) within 5 minutes and sleeping, on average, 12 hours a night in her own crib! WHAT! Did not think this was possible but here we are with so much free time on our hands now!
Although it's a bit pricier than some others I found out there, it was absolutely worth the investment for our family!

Truly a great experience
Truly a great experience! The amount of support and care they gave throughout our sleep school journey helped make the experience a million times better. Our kiddo co-slept, fed to bed, woke up 2-3xs a night for milk or comfort. After Batelle, she can now go to sleep on her own within 5 min, she’s comforted by the sound of my voice instead of physical contact. They helped wean her off of night feeding and her pacifier which was incredibly challenging for us prior to sleep school. Honestly 10/10 recommend.

Great first experience with Batelle, we had to go again!
Firstly I wanted to share a bit of background to why we enrolled our second child, Gabriel to Batelle Babies.
Our first child, Amber, who’s now nearly 2 1/2 years old, started with Batelle when she was 4 months old in 2020. It was a game changer for my wife and I, within 2 weeks she was sleeping from 7pm-7am (with a dream feed at 10.30pm). Fast forward to now, we’ve continued with the hatch light, ring camera and hug only (for a single mattress) for her afternoon nap (from 1-3pm) and for when she goes to bed at 7pm. To our amazement, especially when we hear or witness our own friends experiences (currently on holiday with some family friends with a daughter the same age as Amber) we feel so incredibly lucky as Amber will walk herself to her room now and climb into bed and wait for us to put the hug on, then be asleep in minutes. This routine has also had a huge impact on the toddler jet lag saga we’ve only just started to appreciate having had Amber in Singpaore at the start of the pandemic, completely sheltered through multiple lockdowns. To our surprise, when we set up the same sleep environment, even in an unfamiliar place to Amber, she immediately adopted a faster recovery to jet lag and being able to self settle without us having to come in. Granted for the first few nights we kept a close eye on her via the camera as we ourselves were jet lagged but we couldn’t believe how we were able to get her back into her sleep routine so quickly! It really has allowed the whole family to start enjoying the holiday straight away.. even after a 15 hr flight! 🤯, removing many of the anxieties we had about disrupting their sleep routines with long haul travel.
When our second child Gabriel arrived in November 2022, he had a tough start having caught Covid at 6 weeks old aswell as battling a few other health concerns but he’s now out of the woods 🙏. Given our amazing experience with Batelle with Amber, we didn’t hesitate to sign up Gabriel as soon as he was old enough and ready to start. It’s worth highlighting that with Amber there wasn’t an app, it was peak lockdown and we got our support and instruction from the Batelle team via email, WhatsApp and zoom. We now have an app, with much easier access to information and support 24/7 via the chat (we are still in Singapore too and the timezone factor continued to not impact any support we needed, when we needed it). So we kicked off things with Gabriel and got him set up, initially in his swaddle with the mantra playing, ring light and hatch light, we didn’t move him into a hug until he was 5 months old. It took about 6 days to get his dream feeds aligned to support a later wake up (we started at 4-5am wake up with feeding when he woke to settle throughout the night), he was definitely a hungrier baby than amber was at 4 months so this took some patiences to push the last dream feed from 1am at this point to 10.30pm to get him to sleep through to 6-7am. He’s now 7 months old and also just taken his first trip abroad with the same results as Amber. To note, he still wakes up a little earlier than Amber, around 6-7am (bedtime 6.30-7pm), with Amber waking up at 7.45-8am and then happily playing in her bed with her toys until we then turn the hatch light to yellow (time to get up), allowing us to have had the time to feed Gabriel his breakfast (he’s just starter weening), get showered and then focus on ambers breakfast, getting her ready. We also have the flexibility to adjust the wake up times depending on whether it’s the weekend or when amber needs to go to nursery, where an early wake up is necessary. Switching these wake up times doesn’t impact either of them achieving 10-12hrs undisturbed sleep on a weekly basis.
We are confident that Gabriel is on the same trajectory as Amber so far and as parents, we are as well rested as you can be, if not better, given we’ve not experienced life/sleep without Batelle to have an opinion, however we are totally in control of bedtimes and nap times for not just one but both our children now.
If there’s one bit of advice we can give in our experience with Batelle, especially after reading some of these reviews, is stick to the advice and the plan the Batelle team give you in those first two weeks, don’t deviate without consulting with your sleep guide and be patient! The first week plus or minus is hard, you may even doubt the method, but trust me, it’s worth it when we see how well Amber sleeps and the positive impact that’s also had on her well being all round, fingers crossed we get the same for Gabriel!
I write this whilst both our children are taking their afternoon nap (at the same time now) on our first family vacation, enjoying the peace and quiet, reenergising, ready for the rest of the day as a genuine thank you to the Batelle team for everything they’ve done and their ongoing support🙏

We just finished sleep school for our…
We just finished sleep school for our 20 month old son and I'm completely mind-blown at how amazing the experience was. Where the hell have you sleep angels been all of my life? Or our son's life???
Hubby and I were some of the lucky parents that has a child who just "got it" very early on and adjusted much faster than we (parents) did. The first night, I just knew it wasn't going to work because the little guy got so upset he threw up. I quickly took the hug off, put of his usual sheets and tried again. Luckily he settled quickly and stayed in the crib all night. I thought..."okaaay. This could work". 2nd night we tried again with the hug and success. By the 3rd night with the same success but sooner, I was convinced my son was on their payroll or they switched him for a clone after I dozed off. In the chat I asked "who is this baby"? Bedtime is much quicker and easier every night. Now, we can put him in his crib, zip him into his hug and he lays down like... ✌🏾😴
Before starting sleep school we our son thought would only go to sleep while laying with one of us or sitting or laying on top of us. We would eventually be able to put him down on a large pillow we have in the middle of our living room for play/nap time. He's always had a crib but he would never actually sleep in it for longer than 2-4 hours. Also NEVER through the night...like NEVER, ever. Whenever he would wake up in the crib, he would cry out bloody murder because it was unfamiliar and wasn't the original spot he fell asleep.
In the past we unsuccessfully tried to sleep train him ourselves with tips and advice from friends, family and research. Nothing ever stuck and it was back to our usual program of LOTS of tears, protesting and back on Mama and Daddy's chest he went. 😫
I got completely fed up after being exhausted from not being able to get more than 3-4 hours of sleep, for almost 20 LOOOONG months! We bit the bullet and joined Batelle! At that point, I had already reached out for more info (2 months prior), was doing more research and honestly giving them my usual skeptical side eye.
I'm sitting here smiling from ear to ear thinking about the much needed support I received from my team. Also the invauable wealth of knowledge I now have to empower our son to continue CHOOSING to get his well needed sleep. He is already a much more independent, happy, little boy who looks forward to whatever adventures he will get into the next day.
I can't thank Batelle enough for turning these previously skeptical parents into believers! Now that I'm on the other side of this amazing program and getting sleep as a family I can say this program is 1000% what you put into it. If you do the work, follow the steps, reach out for support, join the Q&A sessions, it can and will work.
Best investment EVERERR!!!

Kim & Emily were great
One star each for the leaders Kim and Emily. Very helpful and supportive!
One star only for the program. After 10 weeks we still have 30+ minutes of crying before bed and unable to do naps in cribs. Sleep is still improved from when we started though.

Thanks for the feedback - Kim and Emily are great! I see that your little one is now at the 6th-month mark and you are set to graduate from Batelle Babies on the 4th of July and join us in Sleep School. The pace here is much quicker, so hopefully we will get those bedtimes sorted very soon! Looking forward to having you on board.

Wonderful from start, levelly team, A1 support
Very impressive program and very effective. Allow us as parents to understand our child better and be more confident.
The team at Batelle is so awesome. Professional, knowledgeable, kind and so respectful of were each family is at in their evolution and needs.
You will never feel alone again with them.
Post school support is so much more then we expected. They are like angels doing cercles over you and are ready whenever you need an extra push of courage.
5 star to the best cheerleading team every parent should have behind them.
Thank you Batelle
You change our life everyday

I want to give them a five star review…
I am updating this again. It is a month since starting and we are basically back to square one. It’s been a month of hellish long bedtimes, waking at 2/3am and basically not going back to sleep, relentless tweaking of his now tyrannical schedule and not being able to do anything during the day other than manage his naps, relentless tweaking of the method such that we’ve basically abandoned it altogether as per the staff’s recommendation. While the staff are exceptionally patient and kind, if this incredibly complex method doesn’t quite work out, it is awful. I feel trapped because I don’t want to just stop and mess with my poor kid’s head but nothing has changed in this miserable month except that both our sleep is worse and as far as I can tell the method has consolidated that bad sleep. I spend all my time day and night doing the method or adhering to the schedule, and napping with him during the day so that I can catch up on sleep. I know this works like magic for some people but if it doesn’t, it’s absolutely miserable.
I want to give them a five star review because the staff are absolutely wonderful, kind and generous people who go above and beyond to support their clients while you are in the program. However, in the last three weeks, I have gone from 10 min bedtimes to upwards of 30 min, often nearer an hour each night of my baby crying before sleep, often until he makes himself sick. We still have multiple night wakes (albeit minor) and since sleep school he will not sleep beyond 5am. I have slept less in the last three weeks than at any point since he was born and it has been awful as I am a solo parent and about to return to work. I have followed the method diligently, but when it hasn't worked effectively, the general line is that it is because my energy is off, or that his day schedule needs tweaking which may be so, but have seen no shift from said tweaks so far. Their CEO even said to me on our last call “we can’t make your baby sleep”, which ok I get, but also felt a little galling given that it is a sleep school and given the claim on the website. My baby hates going into his crib and he appears to dislike the mantra. I was so desperate for this to work after months of intense sleep deprivation, and hoped it would set me and my baby up for my return to work next month, but it has instead made my evenings and mornings even more difficult and exhausting than they have ever been.
Batelle really is an astonishingly good, solid, and honest company and they have offered me a full refund. However, I am in this horrible bind right now where we have been using the method for almost three weeks and it is not working, but I am not sure how to 'disentangle' myself from it. I do not want to confuse my baby when he's already gone through such a big change and is about to go through another. So, while I want to commend the astounding skill, kindness and generosity of the staff - I have been incredibly moved by their commitment to the program, their own families and the families they work with and how much extraordinary time and effort they gave me - I feel hard pressed to fully recommend the program, as it is so distressing to have put in so much work and for things to be so much harder than they were before, and then be left in the dark about what to do next.
Updating this to say that my baby now wakes at 4am and chooses not to go back to sleep and nothing in Batelle’s tool box makes the slightest bit of difference. My nights - and subsequently my days - are far worse now than they have ever been. The various recommendations from Batelle have been to cosleep with him again, put him back in the sling to rock him to sleep and to bottle feed him… in other words, all the things I just spent weeks so carefully trying to wean him from.

Wonderful Program!
They have a wonderful sleep school that taught my son to feel safe enough to sleep through the night. It can be a challenge to complete the program and there are still times when my son is sick or something is emotionally bothering him and that can result in him waking up at night to call out for me... but I want him to know he can still call out for me when he truly needs me. He also became much more confident and comfortable when I would separate from him during the day. The program is wonderful and truly does teach your child that sleep is safe and that their parents are always there for them.
