Horrible Communication! Management is Rude & Condescending!
I recently took my dog in for dental cleaning and comprehensive exam. He came out of there whining and lethargic and stayed that way for 2 days. I asked what is wrong with him and they said it was normal after anesthesia. I'm sorry but that is NOT normal! They said they gave him a sedative as well. No one approved this nor were we notified. We also have a wellness plan but almost everything is "additional" UGH! They do not communicate clearly with you (or even at all) and get an attitude if you ask for clarification. One of the reps Nicole is very condescending!! I told her I wanted to remove the dental plan moving forward and she said she would remove it now, re-adjust all fees and charge me the balance due!? I told he do NOT make any changes to my account. I will call Corporate and she just snickered. I will just say consumers beware and be diligent.

Best Service, By Far!!!
My cat of 17 years (Mister), got sick all of a sudden on 4/22/22 early morning, with constant vomiting and diarrhea. I tried to get him an appt at the regular Banfield he goes to, but they couldn't see him and had no openings for a couple of days. I took a chance and called the one in Duncanville, TX. and I believe it was Megan who took my call. I explained to her about my cat's sickness and asked if they could please fit him somewhere that same day. I was put on a brief hold, and she returned and said they could see him@ 9:15am that day! I was a little late getting there because of morning traffic, but they didn't give me a hard time, and just signed him in and gave me the necessary paperwork to fill out! The vet tech Steven came out to speak with me concerning what was going on with Mister and he really seemed interested in my concerns. He then proceeded to let me know the course of diagnosis plan they would take to try and see what illness was causing the problem. I was given a estimated price of what the treatment would cost, and I was pleased because I only had an available $300 for this emergency visit and the estimate was about $255. I left Mister there feeling like he was in good hands! The veterinarian that took care of him was Dr. Truyen. Wow, there is not enough time or space to say how impressed I was with his professionalism, obvious care and genuine concern for my Mister's issue and his overall health! From the phone call he made to me to discuss his findings, and the path of treatment he suggest would be best, including medications needed to get my kitty back to better health! I explained to him that I only had $300 to cover his visit because I'd lost my job, and he said that he'd see what he could do to get my final bill as close to that amount and still get what was needed to help heal my Mister! I was so overwhelmed at his wanting to help me like that! He even came out to talk to me again, when I came to pick Mister up! 10 Stars⭐ #Grateful & Thankful💝

This is about the Banfield Pet Hospital…
This is about the Banfield Pet Hospital in Hyde Park, Ohio (Cincinnati)
When you have a MAJOR problem with pet I would think your VET could find a way to find a minute to let you know Xray results etc. Its been 3 GD days and I can't get a return call no matter what, repeatedly getting promises I would get a return call NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING!
Under staffed is NO excuse for this! Stop making appointments and taking clients money!!!
I am cancelling my 3 dog subscriptions and plan to report this gross neglect to the attorney general of Ohio!
I want my money returned as well!
This "business" should be shut down!

I wish I would have read the reviews
I wish I would have read the reviews. I started the wellness plan for my dog in February and ever since then I have been unable to get an appointment for dental cleaning at any or even the farthest location from my place. The monthly premium is deducted on time and every time I call the offices they reply “We are so busy we cant even book for months after! Ridiculous, I would strongly warn not to buy this insurance!

Be mindful of the plan!
I looooved Banfield in Texas and having their plan was amazing! Let’s fast forward to the day we moved to MD. We had this plan from the time she was 4 months old and she just turned three. Every month like clockwork they happily auto deducted my account for the amount. When we moved and separated from my ex because the plan was in my ex’s name and I was a “co-signer” her plan was no longer valid. She had to be on her own plan. Sound pretty easy right? Nope! She couldn’t be on her own plan because there was a balance on her old plan. No worries! Just pay off the old balance as silly as that would be and start a new one.
NO NO NO NO
After being a “valued customer” for almost three years there was no answer. I couldn’t pay off the old plan because it wasn’t in my name even though my card was being charged for years and couldn’t start a new one until the old one was settled. (Non amicable splits are the worst)
The end result is: we found another vet after 2 weeks of dealing with the BS. If you put your animal on a plan MAKE SURE the persons name it is in, will be responsible for the life of the animal or you are just wasting your money. What a waste. I used to speak so highly of them but the way they treated me over this plan was ridiculous. Just food for thought
Ps Banfield No need to respond with “reach out to us”.
I spent 2 weeks on the phone with you guys and there was NO resolution. Well…actually there was. A new vet!

Banning Banfield
I accidentally clicked one star. But meant to NOT click a star at ALL. I’m so disappointed in their service. Ugh. If my baby(4 year old Great Dane having dental cleaning done under anesthesia) isn’t back to normal by tomorrow I’m gonna be very upset. Aside from that there were other issues with the entire process/appointment etc. I went to check on him and see if he was ready after being there for almost 8 hours. they said he wasn’t ready and to come back in a couple hours. Called and felt like I got attitude for checking on my baby. Something told me I needed to actually see him so I went back in and asked if I could see him/check his temperament. He looked half dead and could barely stand. They said because they gave him a sedative. Why? He’s is here to be put under anesthesia for dental work. So why did y’all give him a sedative(separate from anesthesia for procedure) after I requested to see/check on him after being there 8 hours?

Complete joke of a company
Complete joke of a company. They will try to screw you over for everything you are worth. I set up a “Wellness plan” for my dog days before finding out that I have cancer. Due to my dog’s own health problems, and my escalating trouble with caring for her, I had to rehome her. When I went to cancel my plan (about a week later), the Banfield location I had taken my dog to said I would have to call the corporate number to cancel. The associate I talked to didn’t know what she was doing, and gave me several numbers. One of those numbers being a ~$112 figure. I was given 5 other dollar figures after that. Now Banfield is calling me a liar, and they are claiming that I owe them an inflated cost of $237 to cancel (that factors in a fecal exam that was never performed) or they will not cancel my plan, and will keep trying to take payments out of my account. When I tried logging into my account to remove my information, Banfield BLOCKED me. I’ve already offered to pay the $112 I was told that I owed, but they are planning on dying on their $237 hill. I am dying anyway so what do I care? I have already sent all of this to the Better Business Bureau. I will fight tooth and nail with con artists like Banfield who don’t give a damn about their customers.

Banfield of Clearwater, Florida recommended and prescribed a very toxic new heartworm medication named Simparica that has the ingredient Isoxazoline masquerading under the name Sarolaner. Simparica treats heartworm, worms, ticks, fleas and mites. FDA has warned that Isoxazoline found in three pet drugs including Simparica causes dog seizures and tremors in dogs of all breeds and with no previous history of neurological tremors. Lots of dog parents reporting of such life threatening reactions with use of these drugs. There is an FDA warning regarding all Isoxazoline containing pet drugs. I only bought 2 pills, and went home and researched. I never administer anything to my dog unless I have researched it thoroughly first. After research, then went back to Banfield 2 days later and returned the never used sealed 2 pills. Banfield refused both refund and credit. My dog will continue using Sentinel Plus for his heartworm medication instead of the Banfield pushed Simparica.
I know that Dr Tara Ravangard is a conscientious doctor that would not prescribe toxic FDA warning drugs to her dog patients. I wonder if Big corrupted Pharma is pushing this toxic drugs to be prescribed at BAnfield. No, I am not the usual dumb down and manipulated consumer, I research everything. Something is wrong when I ask for Dr. Ravangard and never see her at BAnfield in Clearwater.
NOTE: Epidemic of itching / loss hair / bites on skin among dogs and cats in March 2022. Observation showed these are microscopic airborne mites biting dogs as well as humans. The air above my yard contained biting aerial microscopic mites, which I waived off with my hand. Do microscopic mites fly?......NO, unless they have been genetically modified and engineered. Could be some type of genetically modified aerial mites vectors / pathogens dispersed through airplane chemtrails or purposely disseminated from the Bay Pines VA complex bioweapons lab, perhaps remote controlled to locations...a possibility for covert experimentation on unsuspecting pets and humans in the area.
Many such different pathogenic and genetically modified bioweapon vector and pathogen releases in the area adversely affecting both humans and pets in the past 16 years, which I believe and suspect and is of my opinion that is coming from Bay Pines VA complex bioweapons lab in Florida and three other collaborators: like DARPA NOT so so "Friendly" GM weaponzed mites and insects" and perhaps and I greatly suspect and is of my opinion in collaboration with Tampa BAy Industrial Fumigant company ( which also contains a gm entomology lab), Big Pharma companies collaborations and military plane aerial dispersals.
So, until further investigation can be done by scientists with integrity which have not been bought out or under a non disclosure agreement, some of my suspicions and opinions could end up being true or false. I do not have proof of the suspected culprits, but definitely lots of research, experience, and observations of what has been happening in the St. Petersburg and Clearwater area for the past 16 years.
