DO NOT BUY! got a sick frog and died in 12 hours. They want you to send with the shipping label a picture of the dead frog. I had already buried the frog once it died. Don’t buy frogs there

My husband and I have tried purchasing twice from this company and WILL NEVER do it again. Both experiences were HORRIBLE!!! Both times we tried ordering from them and the website said the snakes and lizards were in stock and a cheaper price but when you clicked on them ...they were MORE ...BUT still in stock. Then after holding our money for a couple to a few days, they emails us telling us that the animals IN FACT were NOT in stock 😑 So they asked if we wanted something else the first time and my husband asked for something else that was a little more and they said he would have to pay the difference ...EVEN THOUGH it was THEIR error. My husband said FORGET IT ...Refund my money. Now mind you he got his refund back within the hour AFTER he had to get rather RUDE with them because they weren't replying until the NEXT day and kept it going ...then they proceeded to tell him that THEY CANT KEEP TRACK OF ALL THEIR ANIMALS 😑🤷🏼‍♀️ THEN WHY RUN A BUSINESS?!?! Last week I gave them a second chance thinking it was a one time ordeal with the OUT OF STOCK animal's tried ordering him a snake for fathers day and a WHITES tree frog for myself and got an email a couple days later stating THOSE TWO were OUT OF STOCK if I'd like to do OTHER animals! Now MIND YOU it's been a couple of months since we last ordered from them so I figured they'd have their crap together, evidently NOT and my assumption was WRONG! So I tried calling and NO ANSWER and their voicemail was FULL. I wrote them ASKING what they had in stock and they sent me a list HOURS later of the snakes and frogs available. Well I send them an email stating NEVER MIND I'D LIKE A REFUND! Took them until the next day later in the afternoon to reply. Then asked me IF I wanted all of money back ...YEAH I would considering you have NOTHING IN STOCK I want. It took me almost a week an emailing them back and fourth and getting SUPER RUDE with them, their customer service SUCKS and NOBODY knows HOW to answer their phone ...to get my refund! Also at times they'll turn the phone OFF until they are closed then turn it back on BUT you still cannot leave a Voicemail. Soooooo in my 2 experiences, I WOULD NOT recommend them. We will NEVER order from them. They will NEVER get another penny of my money EVER again!! They do NOT answer emails in a timely matter. They never answered the phone. So we got our refund BACK and I took my business else where and will be getting my husbands father's day snake in the mail by next Tuesday from another company!!! 😊😁 If I could give them ZERO ⭐ ...I WOULD!

Wish I could give them them 0 Stars ordered a snake Sunday that was on their website paid for it. Got an email Monday saying something about fraudulent charges and different address on my card. Sent them all the informationthey said they need it immediately the same day of the email. Then Tuesday got an email saying they did not have the snake I ordered. Even though it's on their website and still on their website to this day a week later. Finally got all that situated choose a different snake that was more expensive pay the money for the difference in the prices and still have received no snake. You would be lucky to talk to these people more than once a day if you're lucky this place is a joke I just want a pet red tail boa I don't know how that's so hard will never order from them again and would recommend everybody not to order

Would love to give them 0, they take my order, send me everything I need to get my order, I email them the next day because the tracking numbers won’t track, more than 24 hours I get a e mail saying they no longer have what I want will I take something else, no thank you if I wanted something else that’s what I would have gotten, they won’t answer calls, they don’t like to return e mails, this place isn’t someplace I would recommend anyone to use, called another place and one will be sent out tonight and will be here first thing in the morning, funny how some places want your business and others don’t. Don’t even trust them to cancel my order so now on the phone with the credit card company trying to get that taken care of, hope you know what you have in stock next time someone orders something, 3 other people used this company and got treated the same way today.

I ordered a red bearded dragon, expecting it to be just that, a full rich red all over. What I received was healthy but only really has some red stripes down it's back. Nice, just not what I expected from the description. Oh well. He is still good, I just will not buy from them again if I wanted something specific. Should have known that sale price was too good to be true.

I ordered from them for the first time, I've read reviews in the past, and having worked in customer service before, I realize some customers are not happy no matter what. I received my frogs today, they all look healthy, ones a little skinny but he ate within 5 mins of being placed in his terrarium, as did another one. I'm glad I have Backwater reptiles the chance, and I would order again from them.

Horrible company! Sent me a sick tortoise with the plastron not healed right ! The yolk sack / tortoise wasn’t properly taken care of and resulted in deformed plastron. They never tried to make it right nor tried to send me my money back when I tried to return it day one.! they also claimed it was “cherry head” tortoise when it was your average regular redfoot tortoise . They played stupid the whole time then gave horrible advice on how to treat this tortoise.
