Backwater ReptilesReviews of backwaterreptiles.com

Web site states Eastern Box Turtles. Ordered an Eastern Box Turtle as described on the site. they sent me a hybrid. Turtle is healthy and happy, but its not what i wanted. has no color and looks nothing like an Eastern Box. They said i knew it was hybrid because the invoice indicates that. ok, well the website says eastern box. these emails went around in circles. If i knew it was a hybrid i would not have ordered it. I told them they should change their website to indicate to people they may receive a hybrid. they have not. They were also not helpful in the least. If they were somewhat understanding i may have ordered from them again , but since they had such a bad attitude, i wont.

Seeing a lot of bad reviews 😟 was going to buy a tortoise and a Scorpio but, idk now. There’s like only 15-20% great reviews.

I just got my reptiles. ON TIME. They arrived alive and well. AWESOME!!! I hope to do business again with Backwater Reptiles because I received what I was looking for. Thank-you and there are NO complaints on my part. Let me know when the Jeweled Lacerta is available. I suggest you check other reptile reviews to find that I SPEAK MY MIND!

I’m just gonna put this out there I’m going through these reviews I’m only seeing a problem with spiders turtles and so on y’all are talking about they are sick haven’t y’all ever thought of maybe they are getting sick from being moved around from place to place they are going on a road trip you know don’t humans get car sickness these are small animals most time they are not gonna do so good but so far I been seeing good things about the snakes yay 🙌🏽

This was great I got a nice and healthy snake I would buy from here again.

They sent me a sick water turtle. After two days that she couldnt even swim and refused to eat, she died. Now Backwater reptiles refuses to refund me the $65 I paid for the order, because I sent the dead turtle picture but they want the shipping box picture. This is ridiculous. I will fight for my money back in the credit card company. NEVER AGAIN! DON`T EVEN CONSIDERING BUYING FROM THEM.

I ordered a Mexican Fire Leg Tarantula from them and got it as expected. When I opened up the package, I realized that everything was packaged loosely in there. When I opened up the deli cup that my Tarantul was in. I found that there was 1 tiny air pocket for air. This is unacceptable! I was surprised it wasn't dead. Other companies have several holes in there, and everything is packaged more securely.

i got my blue iguana 2 months ago. they messed up my address and he was stuck in a box for 2 days before i was finally able to receive him. luckily he was alive but he was very bony. for some reason i couldn’t get him to gain weight and tonight he passed away. they sent me a sick lizard and there was nothing that could be done to help him. i honestly wouldn’t go through this company to get any pets. i’m devastated.
