I purchased the body wash Rosemary/Mint and it was a very watered down version of the little bottles I've been using for years when traveling and on the road. The Aveda bottle was so diluted and watery that it was a ripoff and I feel cheated. Aveda makes it difficult to give feedback or review of their product which I purchased directly from Aveda.

The website is absolutely horrible. Many pages error out when you click on items. You can't add items to your cart, much less actually make a purchase. It has been this way for several days now. Seriously, a big name brand like this, and they can't even make a website work. I wonder how many customers and sales have been lost?!

My wife who has a PhD and is a sophisticated computer user has now spent over 2 hours trying to place an order on the Aveda website. I also have visited the website - and must agree, it is among the worst functioning websites of any product I have experienced. Aveda - your site is garbage. If you wish to retain customers, you need to have a site that allows people to 1) easily navigate, 2) easily purchase. All of your wonderful points and rewards are of no use if people cannot purchase things.

Received gift certificate last Christmas for a van Michael appointment. Went and was well pleased. Had to travel 2 1/2 hours to salon. Not sustainable. So found aveda salon closer to home. Went there this week and it was a terrible experience. My hair is a disaster! Too, too short. The stylist was not aveda trained. She gave my hair a part and botched the shape. She never asked me how I wanted my hair cut. Was not given a receipt at conclusion. VERY disappointed.

I booked in for a root tint and a toner. I have medium blonde tinted hair around a base 9 with my natural hair being a base 6 ash blonde with some grey. I asked for the roots to be lifted up a few shaded and a toner to give it a warmer honey blonde shade. I even took in a hair extension to show exactly the type of shade I wanted to end up with, this shade was similar to what I already had but a warmer more auburn colour. I warned the colourist that my previous trips to other salons were a disaster and told her that both times they had to put a bleach bath on to remove colour that had gone very dark and that for years had been colouring my hair at home as I feared the same thing happening. I had picked the top colourist at this salon in hope that it would be a good result. After she washed the colour off and dried it, it looked darker than expected but with the lights in the salon you could not really tell. When I got home my Mother looked in horror ! Looking in natural light the roots were even darker than my own natural colour and the ends had an even cooler tone than what I had before. :( So I had 2 inches of brown at the roots and the rest blonde, it looked like was growing out a blonde tint. I rang the salon and told them this was not what I had requested, they offered to do a deep cleansing shampoo but this just removed a little staining from the skin around the hairline. The lady said this is what I requested and that when I came back next time I could try something different, she refused to do anything and after 10 minutes of heated discussion my Mother and I left the salon. The next day I managed to find another salon locally to put some blonde highlights down the parting but I still have the dark roots everywhere, I am lucky to have thick long hair so I can disguise the rest underneath. I also have had extensive hair loss in the past and a sensitive scalp to am reluctant to have any bleach applied to the rest of the scalp. Tint does not lift tint so the only option at some point is a whole head of highlights on the roots, this would be expensive and damaging to my hair. So I have payed £70 at Aveda and then another £70 to get my crown highlighted. I am very upset and will never go again to a salon, I had been using Wella professional colour at home with great results and one wonders exactly how these people manage to be a qualified colourist !

What a convoluted, awful website experience. Glad that's over. Won't be going back if I can't help it. Slingshotting you around and then hiding your basket. Only half a screen visible. 40 mins wasted.

I love the products. Its a real shame that the online experience is sooo unbelievably slow. Aveda is very much behind its competitors in that regard. If you're ordering something with standard shipping, be warned this isn't regular standard shipping like you'd get from any other brand. This is the kind that takes ages! They really don't have any sense of urgency to get your purchases to you, regardless of the amount they charge for products. If you're ordering on a Monday like I did, don't expect to get it the same week! I don't know any brand these days, charging premium prices or not, that take this long to get you your goods. And if you've got a pure privilege card, expect to wait over a month! That's me put this weekend with rubbish looking hair, thanks Aveda. Ordered on Monday, it's not even with the courier yet. I've had stuff arrive faster from China!

Usually had awesome experience with them over the years. Been cutting my hair here for 10+ years. Went back today after covid and growing out my hair for a while. Left less than pleased. My hair looks and feel like it needs a good washing. It’s heavy and sticky with styling product, looks oily and feels dirty. I did not leave with a happy clean bouncy styled head of hair. My hair cut itself lasted less than 10min. I was scheduled for 330p and seen at 350p. What I experienced was a mad rush job with a less than 10 min haircut and two people blow drying my hair at the same time to get me out the door as Closing was 430 it seems. It took 3 shampoos to my hair to get to lather, then I was able to wash the gook that is Avada’s styling product out of my hair. I blow dried and style, voila ! A healthy shiny light head of hair. Poor layering and the ends weren’t cleaned up, but i suppose it could have been worse. I wont be back. Edit:7/27 Aveda corporate contacted me right away because of my google review. Asked for info and that was that. It’s been two weeks, the store never followed up, neither did they. But with the large number of horrid reviews I see that they have been getting, I am not surprised. They don’t care. One star for all around bad service.
