Absolutely useless the customer support is 0 no technical Engineer or department can't answer simple questions Chinese product China company who don't care I will never buy from them again buy a Sanpon yes cost more but at least you get support

Unbelievable support to update . I had an Max Link OBD code Reader , changed my car and needed to update the reader . Unfortunately it wouldn’t update as it don’t like chromebooks and need Microsoft . So I sold it on eBay . The buyer had nothing but trouble with it . He’s got Microsoft PC . Their website is totally rubbish and not user friendly . Between the 2 of us we just about managed to re register the item to him . But it still wouldn’t update as it appears he had to email / contact Autel directly to de register the reader from my account to his . Basically I wouldn’t bother unless you are a tech Wizz . If autel are reading this please help out so the guy can use his device .

Very poor customer service. They don't take returns if their item doesn't fit your car

Absolute useless crap. Only thing I can do with my MaxiIM508 is to read and erase codes, same I can do with my other diagnostic tool which costed me 40usd. Cannot even program the new TPMS sensors since it does not let you to enter reg codes manually but requires a id reading tool. That was a costly mistake to trust known brand. Never again

Spent 1200.00 on device. Lasted 3 years. Autel wants 900.00 to fix it. JUNK!

I have been a Autel customer for about 5 years, paying the monthly subscription of about $1300 pet year. Recently my Maxi-sys tablet had a problem which I had to send in for repair. They told me a 5-7 day turnaround time. It took them over a month to even look at it, then they tell me it’s not repairable and I would have to buy the upgraded version. Paid for a new unit, it’s been almost 30 days and still isn’t here. They also just informed me that the 3 months of my paid subscription that’s been active will not be credited back. Buyer beware this place does not value their customers

Don’t buy autel they now have to charge to go on manufactures portal to do things plus there subscription works out exspesive at 25 pounds a pop trust me don’t buy I’ve spoken to them about doing a dpf regeneration on a Audi a3 on the same car that I had done previously the message I got back we don’t understand how you did that I do there were no restrictions on my tool until the lawsuit was initiated upon them if you are a precessional don’t buy you are wasting your money these tools are only fit for the bin now

I’ve never dealt with Autel UK regarding purchases , only on one enquiry which they referred me to Autel China HQ which China HQ sorted within 48hrs so very grateful for their help. All my purchases & subscriptions have all been purchased through Autel China protocol & whoever does the best deal from Autel dealers again mainly from China dealers & all have been very good . They are genuine even without the EU tag attached & not gray imports. Don’t really know if my Scan tools will stop working if the subscription should run out , I do hope not but my aim is to keep them up to date but I always wait for the best deals to pop up . Autel subscriptions are not cheap , far from it but again they are quick to update the subscription for a further one year to start from expiry date . Always shop around & make sure your vehicle is covered by the Scan tool you are about to buy . Just wish they would release some newer updates for the BT608E which in turn are free & apart from new OS & firmware updates , they are still from 2020/21 , need some more for 2022/23 > vehicles as newer ones are not recognised or listed , so please release an update for the BT608E . Update : Jan/Feb 2025 - some new updates have now been released for the BT608E mainly system updates not so much new vehicle updates ! Update : 20/02/2026 , my Autel Ultra Lite subscription has recently expired but it still works as a stand alone scan tool but will eventually be renewed as not using it at the moment .
