Poisoned Cell Internet service. Hoping I upgrade.
Congress passed a Broadband Act which somehow allows for unlimited everything forever. Assurance has been spamming my phone with incessant text offers to join that program. I am deaf so only do email or text. I did have 4G service which was ok and somewhat decent internet until this year. When the Broadband spamming started I instantly noticed that the good internet service at 4G now is dirty, sluggish and simply does not work. IF they are trying to encourage me to switch with this predatory practice of poisoning my current internet on the phone they did. But I will be dropping Assurance entirely, buying a new phone outright and changing to a different carrier who has a whole world of Internet fof a flat price in addition to unlimited everything ELSE at 4G. NOT 5G. I have no interest in 5G. I will specifically make sure that the next phone company is stand alone and provide things that Assurance has made sure to make a mess of trying to drive me towards the shiney new Unlimited Broadband thing... IF you tried to call customer service on relay? They hang up on you. They cannot be bothered. EVEN if you did get through to a human you are issued a scripted verbal response for everything. They are not communicating with YOU exactly. The next phone company I am joining (And keeping my assurance number...) has a store in town. If there is a problem 5 minutes in front of them and solved. DONE. Everything Assurance is not. The incessant advertising by Texts etc pushing the 5G unlimited everything is ignoring stop orders and other very negative indications of absolute NO interest in the entire thing. It has finally made the decision that I will just drop Assurance and forget they ever existed and move on.
