Sending or receiving text is hit or miss. Same with a phone call. The phone comes with preloaded Apps. Good thing I have anti-virus installed because one of their Apps tried to load a website that had a virus. This has happened numerous times. This company obviously cares only about the money they get... just look at all the bad reviews and how far they go back... this company is garbage!! Don't trust your life to this service there are others that offer the same service to qualifying people that care about service issues. Most of these piggyback off a big name phone company who can and will do underhanded things to make the customers from the piggyback company not have the best service.

They're a waste of government money for life-saving service being entrusted to people who are inept. Customer service, in large part, barely speaks English. They'll hang up after inordinately long wait times. I can't believe what they get away with in their shabby treatment of the public using government monies intended for life & death related services. Get a real cell phone provider. There are many more reliable Lifeline cell phone carriers.

For a few months the data service was ok. Starting this summer it started to literally disappear, along with the phone service. Both icons would just disappear. I couldn't even make a phone call. They replaced the phone and these problems continued. All the years I've had cell service I've never seen anything like this. Meanwhile the government is paying for what is actually fraudulent business practice n needs to put these felons in jail. Yes, I've called n called ad infinitum.

I would not give Assurance Wireless a 1 star. I was sent a letter telling me my phone will be shipped and I will recieve it within 10 days did not receive it.I talked to customer service twice 1 hr on the phone and they dont have the ability to answer a simple common question. They could not tell me if the phone was shipped at all. I was very polite to customer service both times I called they transferred me to a different department in reality they hug up on me. I'm greatful the government has this program. I live off Social Security and with current prices I can no longer afford a phone I have had 3 strokes last year all in one week. I live alone so its important that I stay in contact with my Doctor and specialists. I do not recommend Assurance to any one. There are other providers to choose from. That what I will be doing.

On October 1st I called assurance wireless because I had not received my replacement phone. The customer service was terrible. The agents cannot understand me and I surely cannot understand the customer service agent. Assurance wireless need to bring their customer service to the United States and stop being cheap and hiring foreign countries it's appalling. They asked me to wait on the line to take a four-question survey, however the agent knew she had done such poor work that she called me back so that I could not take the survey. Two thumbs down for assurance wireless.

The customer service department and all the people that assist you over the phone are from some god forgotten third world country with absolutely no education very little upstanding of the English language
