Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. The worst, most unprofessional experience I had ever had with any company at any point in my life. Ordered online. Charged Immediately. No communication for days after. Told it'd be 3 weeks. At 3 weeks, told it'd be another week. At one week, told it'd be in two days. Nothing happened. Called on Monday, only to be met by a contentious owner who said he would have to fire his customer service representative for telling me the wrong thing. Offered me a 2-year warranty (told him I just want my washer and dryer), and said he'd have it out by Wednesday and would call me. No call on Wednesday. No Call on Thursday. Called on Friday, voicemail multiple times, no response to emails. CS said Owner would call me, still waiting on that call. Throughout the process, they actively asked for positive reviews (before even receiving ANYTHING!). Hence all the reviews you see here. Don't be led astray. Completely mismanaged and now in pursuit of my money back from their company.

I ordered a number of new appliances from this company over two months ago. After repeated calls to the company that went unanswered, I posted a negative review to this site, whereupon company representatives assured me that my appliances would arrive "in another week" - and asked me as a gesture of good faith to take down my negative review and replace it with a positive one. Eager to get my appliances, and impressed by the eloquence and apparent helpfulness of the company owner, who promised to solve the problem personally, I complied. Several more weeks passed, though, and still no appliances were delivered - in fact, two specific delivery dates in the space of two weeks were canceled the night beforehand by the aforementioned owner of the company - so I requested a refund, which he agreed to give me, and bought the appliances from another company (which delivered them the next day). That was now two weeks ago, and I have not received the refund, either - just promises of a 5-year warranty on my appliances purchased elsewhere, and explanations that the Jewish New Year, which has now long since passed, is still responsible for the delay in processing my refund (of which my credit card company has received no notice from Appliances of America, not even a premilinary indication that a refund should be in the works) . So here I am, still out $2300, and my lawyer brother is recommending legal action, to which I would prefer not to have to resort. I hope this review (1) saves other customers this kind of needless unpleasantness, and (2) reminds Appliances of America that I am impatiently awaiting my $2300, which I would infinitely prefer to a 5-year dishwasher warranty.

AppliancesOfAmerica.com were great to work with. They very helpful and flexible in setting up my delivery date and time. Bottom line, I'd work with them again and recc. to a friend.

The Good: The overall price is low. And customer follow up with their service department is good to go. The Bad: It does take a while (little over a month) to get the product. They did a follow up call about a month after delivery and was offered a extended warranty on the product. This makes up for some of the frustration of waiting- so I will change my "stars" to 5.

UPDATE: 2/2016: The review below is incorrect, they had me fouled. They do not stand by their commitments, Billy will tell you what ever it takes to get you hooked in. Once they get your money be ready wait, to wait for a LONG time for any form of service.... STAY AWAY... I ended up filing a claim with my bank to retrieve my money... I had the pleasure of working with both Sean and Billy and oh boy, talk about MILITARY APPREATION, these two gentlemen took it to the next level. Not only where their prices lower than the sale prices of online or in store competitors, but they also offered me an additional “Military/Appreciation Discount” on top of that. The skill set of professionalism and strive for customer satisfaction has definitely open my eyes as to what some of these other big named companies are missing, the mission to take the time to meet the needs of the customer by reinforcing the acknowledgement that the customer comes first. Sean and Billy I would like to personally SALUTE YOU and reassure you, that you have found yourself a new life time costumer for the years to come! Thanks again for the GREAT service….. In my search for a new refrigerator to go in my family's new home I found that appliancesofamerica had the one we wanted for at least 400 bucks less than anyone else. I promptly purchased it and called their number to see if it could be delivered on a specific day since we were moving to a new home. I spoke with Billy and he explained the process and that it would be an extra fee to specify delivery date. This makes sense and the total price is still well below the other companies. Ultimately, i couldn't get the fridge delivered in the 2 day window required. I called Billy, who can't speed up the shipment of course, but he tried everything he could to make it right. He was willing to drop the delivery charge, offered a free warranty and more to try to keep my business. If it was anything besides a refrigerator i would have just waited. I needed somewhere to put my food for the move so I was forced to go to a big box store that was more expensive, but could deliver in my specific time constraint. If you want exceptional customer service and personal interaction and great prices, check this site out. I went with a different company due to time, and not money. Billy had the best price by hundreds of dollars, so definitely worth a look!

What a delightful experience speaking with the gentleman at Appliances of America today! He made the purchase process very simple, and did a great job of explaining the extra options that are available. He absolutely understands customer service and building customer relationships, and he excels in both of those! I would highly recommend Appliances of America. They are now my new best friends!! I will admit, I've often paid more for things online by using nationally recognized big box companies, but when I needed a new fridge/freezer recently I really wanted to get the best deal I could for the best product. I searched high and low over several days and kept coming back to Appliances of America. Any reservations I had about a lesser known company were swept away by the incredible customer service I received (I immediately got a human being on the other end of the phone each time I called - imagine that?!) and the swift and professional delivery of my appliance. Everything went so smoothly that I don't know why I would have paid several hundred dollars more elsewhere. I've found my new appliance shop!
