The building process on my PC was never started due to a pushback on my loan for it. They never checked that this was settled, so my PC sat for 2 months, unbuilt. Customer Service is very kind and helpful, but that was really my only good experience from this.

Hi Madison, based on the information we have on your order, the order was placed on July 26th, and then 8 days later a chargeback was opened for the order.
This chargeback according to the payment provider was requested by you. At that time, the funds were withdrawn from our account, and returned to the payment provider. At that time, we would no longer consider your order open, and it would be voided.
16 days later, we were notified that the chargeback was not resolved in our favor and we contacted you to see if you would like to cancel the order, or have the order shipped. You opted to cancel the order, and you were promptly refunded.
Please understand that we are unable to ship any orders, or work on any orders for that matter, that have an open chargeback and the funds returned to you.
Given you opened a chargeback on the order shortly after it was placed, we would not begin working on the PC for that reason.

My PC got to me after almost a month…
My PC got to me after almost a month and a half they kept telling me different time it would get to me and ultimately just bad communication. I understand there was delays due to the hurricane in Texas but most the problems was the inconsistency of the timeline of when I was going to receive my PC
Response from Apex Gaming PCsSep 27, 2024
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback.
Your PC was ordered during a time period in which we were dealing with widespread power issues in the Houston area due to Hurricane Beryl.
This did cause delays for many inbound shipments, as well as UPS pickups, so we do apologize that your order was delayed.
All customers were notified of these delays and provided options in light of these delays but we apologize if those resolutions were not enough.
Rest assured we have further developed our response plan to any incoming natural disasters so we can be better prepared next time!

Overpriced PC and horrible customer support
First of all I was charged over $2000 for a horrible computer. The specs offered are extremely overpriced and cannot even begin to compete with other companies that offer pre-built pc's. Secondly, it took me 5 months to receive my pc that wasn't completely assembled. Third of all, I had to turn secure boot on to run a game through the BIOS settings and the computer hasn't been able to display ANY video output, and nothing works to fix this problem. The fourth problem that occured was the "Refund-Policy '' and the customer support. Not only did it take 5 months to ship and I had to seat the graphics card, I wasn't told there was a 30-day refund policy for the PC and that I could no longer get a refund even though it took 5 MONTHS to recieve. The customer support had told me in a phone call that I was able to get a refund then later emailed me to say he was mistaken. Now I am trying to repair my PC that has literally no video output and they are charging me a RMA invoice of $168.11 for a return label. This whole company is a complete scam that will give you horrible prices for a PC and won't even tell you that the specs for your "Dream PC" are terrible over the personal phone call they offer. I am extremely angry with my PC and the customer service I was provided. I really don't understand the $168 charge for a return label AND I have to pay to ship it back to them. DO NOT buy from this company, they are unprofessional money-grubbers.

Hi Marc, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Looking at your order, it appears you paid a total of $1457 for your PC, and the remaining amount of the $1682 paid was taxes and shipping. If you have been charged over that amount, please share with us detailed records so we can look into getting that amount reimbursed for you.
I also see that your order was placed on December 18th during the peak holiday season in which we noted orders will take 6-8 weeks and sometimes take up to 12 weeks to ship in your order confirmation email.
I see that your order was placed on December 18th, and was shipped on March 14th, within the delivery window provided when you placed the order.
We understand that this lead time is less than ideal and are excited to share that as of May 10th Apex will be delivering all PCs ordered within 2 weeks of the order being placed, and most of the time much quicker!
In regards to our Refund and Warranty policy both are clearly listed on our website and visible for you to review at any time. They are also linked in the order confirmation email you received.
Our website states that after 30 days your PC is not eligible for return and that the shipping cost is to be paid by the customer if an RMA is to be issued. Given your order was delivered well over 30 days ago, you would not be eligible for free round-trip shipping for your RMA.
However, we did email you to note that the invoice would be voided and that shipping back and forth would be paid for by Apex given you have only had your PC for 45 days as promised during a phone call with one of our support agents.
I apologize that the invoice was confusing, and as mentioned in the email it was automated as our system noted you were outside of the 30-day window, at which point per our policy you would be charged for the shipping of the PC. You are not responsible for that charge, and given it has not been paid, it has been voided.
If there is anything else we can do for you please do not hesitate to email us. We appreciate the feedback and will make sure that our refund, return, and RMA policies are even more front and center due to your experience.

Delivery date changed many times
Delivery date changed many times, no communication from seller, seller pushes additional purchases before delivering product
Response from Apex Gaming PCsSep 27, 2024
Hi Rae, thank you for the feedback. We have since worked very hard to lower our lead times to just about two weeks thanks to feedback like yours.

Refused to cancel order.
I ordered a PC but then needed to cancel after I saw the shipping date would be too long for my needs. I cancelled right away using their process, and they still charged my card and shipped the PC anyway. This was after several dialogs with their staff via email.
Untrustworthy firm. Will never use again.

Scummy Practices + Lack of Transparency
Order #AG118639
I had a genuinely awful shopping experience
You get absolutely bombarded with pop-up ads when you get on their site which were, at the time, usually code-coupons related.
It then started a countdown to entice you to use the code and, to the surprise of no one, it turns out it was not limited.
They received a lot of complaints for these scumy practices because these coupons have since been turned into permanent sales.
Anyways, I live in the EU and after reading through their international shipping policy, it did not seem to be a hurdle so I ordered a PC.
I get sent an "anti-scam" email asking for ID verification which is fair enough. Then I get a second one ? And it is a lot more invasive ? I don't really feel good about my purchase anymore and while I complain in my mails to Support, I still play along and complete the verification process AGAIN.
During this whole debacle, I received an email from one of their "engineer" which, even after multiple follow-up emails, never got an answer to. Turns out it was an automated email and the "engineer" was gone for weeks. He never responded anyways.
Two months of radio silence later, I had to send yet another email for them to tell me about "a delay" that would be resolved by mid-February. The status page was not updated and they would have probably never told me if I did not reach out.
Now I get a THIRD identity verification process that is EVEN MORE invasive and while I did get an order tracker, it has been blank for a week and I now truly fear I may never get my PC.
Of course, Apex cannot refund my order and the ridiculous delays mean asking for a chargeback will be difficult. Now is the time to look at the legal actions I could take I guess
Do not ever shop here but if you do and have issues, find a way to contact their ONLY good customer support rep : Mohammed. He is the only one who has been even remotely transparent when it comes to explaining the issues.

Edit March Second 2024
It appears Apex has tried taking down the review. My review will be updated once I've received my PC
