This app/website is a scam!!
This app/website is a scam. Every place that I have looked at has wildly inaccurate information and most rental companies I have been in contact with from the app are all scams that are trying to get your SSN, even one of the companies tried getting me to send them a copy of my SSC.
Response from Apartment ListFeb 2, 2022
Hi CHP, We are so sorry to hear this was your experience. We take fraudulent listings very seriously at Apartment List. This is why we partner directly with the majority of the properties we have listed on our platform. That said, we do partner with data providers for smaller units across the country. While we do perform basic data validation for these properties, we rely on those partners to verify the credibility of their listings. I'm glad to hear you didn't send that information to them, and if you would like to send us those addresses we would be happy to investigate and have them removed. Please email us at [email protected] anytime. Best, Olivia
