Horrible!!!!! Do not use this company!! They charged me for coming out and doing a safety check at my new home and "topping off the gas". Within a short time, I was out of gas. When I tried to request a refill, They had entered the wrong delivery address. I explained that I was out of gas and they said there was nothing they could do until the "change of address" was complete. 24 hours later, the business office still hadn't changed the delivery address. I had no choice but to change companies. Ferrell Gas had someone out the next morning! I requested I get my money back for the service billed, but obviously never performed. We will see if it arrives in 2 weeks. Avoid this company at all cost!!!

Worst company I have ever done business with. First time out to deliver the tank they smacked my house with it and dented my trim. Of course they did nothing. Had to wait three yrs for contract to run out so I could cancel. Then they charged me 69 bucks to pick up the tank, and 150 to pump out the gas I had paided for. That's after they just showed up before I had gotten another CO. Thanks to the nice guy that worked for them he called me and told me he would come after I got another CO. Horrible, horrible, and just try calling them and getting someone to talk to you. Ha.

my God this company is bad,l was given a price then when the bill came in it was over charged then l contacted them and l was talk to like l was stupid,l am filing with BBB,,what ever you do you better think again before dealing with America gas

I leased a tank and purchased gas from this company for over 10 years. Back In February I called them as I had just had my tank filled like in December and I have never filled the tank more than twice a year. Sometimes once a year as we normally only use our gas stove top. We have gas logs but only use them when the temp gets down around 10 or lower. I contacted and requested that they send someone in Feb to check my tank and gauge as the tank showed under 10%. I suspected a bad gauge or a leak in their leased equipment or on my side. No way I had used that much gas in under 2 months. They told me 2 weeks before they could come out but they would attach a $250 charge. I had my home checked and I had no leaks. So, the rest of the equipment is leased making it their responsibility to maintain. After arguing With them several times I contacted another supplier and terminated my service with Amerigas. The new company set the tank, the regulator, filled the tank, and charged me a lease fee that totaled to less than having Amerigas come out and check their own equipment. And they did it within 3 days of my request and if I call them an AMERICAN answers the phone by the third ring in an office less than 10 miles from my home. Not a Foreigner after a 45 minute wait. On Feb 13th Amerigas told me to expect a refund check for the tank lease. I had paid for a full years lease in December so they owed me back at least 10 months of the payment that I had already paid them. I was told that the check would be in the mail within 10 to 15 days and the tank would be picked up within 15 days. It’s August 9th and I just got off the phone with them. This is about the 8th time I’ve called them and each call is a 45 minute wait before their Indian/Pakistani???? rep picks up and tells me that they will expedite my check and tank pick up. 6 months and 8 calls in and I still have not received a check and the tank still sits in my drive. Today I told their rep to contact me back within 48 hours to let me know when to expect my reimbursement check to arrive and when the tank will be picked up. If I don’t hear from them within 48 hours I’m going to have an attorney send them a nice certified letter notifying them Of how much I’m charging Amerigas for storing their tank on my property. I’m considering putting the word out and having everyone with similar situations in my area to participate and add their names to the letter. Maybe that will wake them up???? I hate to be like that but this company has had zero regard for me or even whether or not I could heat my home when a snow storm came in this past February that shut our area down for several days. I had to go buy two small bullet propane heaters and a couple of small gas grill tanks to run them. That’s what kept my house warm for three days and nights until the new company could come and set a new tank and fill it. They would have been here next day if the roads hadn’t been covered with ice and snow. I will never do business with Amerigas again even if their per gallon gas price is 1/3 that of a local competitor. I’m sticking with a local Company that will answer the phone, has an office right down the road that is accessible to customers, and will respond when I need help. In the 10 plus years I had my business with Amerigas, only 1 time did I call with an emergency situation and the only response I got was to wait 2 weeks for someone to get here and be billed an extra $250 for them to come out. I probably talked to their reps 4 different times before I terminated service. I spent well over an hour on the phone with each call and got ZERO help. I’m done with them but only after they reimburse my lease money and pick up the tank. At this point I’m about ready to hook a chain to the tank and pull it to their local office and drop it in their parking lot. Yes, I am that frustrated with them. Stay away from this propane supplier. Nothing they tell u comes true. Also, an existing customer can call and go thru the automated service and it takes forever to speak to a rep. In my case each call was at least a 45 minute wait before anyone picked up. However, call in and go thru the automated prompts like a potential new customer and you will have a rep on the phone by the third ring. Folks, once they have your business you no longer exist to them. You go straight to the back burner. This is hands down the worst company I have ever dealt with from a service standpoint. I have been told over and over that my check would be mailed within ten days and the tank picked up in 15 days or less. At one time they actually told me the tank had been picked up. I was standing in my drive looking at the tank when they told me that. Today’s phone call ended just like all the previous calls. Their system shows my account still in the process of being closed and no idea when I will get a check or the tank will get gone!!! In 48 hours I’m turning this over to my attorney. I feel I have no other choice!!

If I could give them a no stars I would. They charge so many extra fees I cant believe its legal. Every year they charge to lock in a price. If you dont want to lock in the price and dont respond to the request, they charge a late fee to cancel something you never even signed up for. This happens every June. In addition, they charged me a year for a tank rental after I cancelled my service. I had to pay a YEAR rental fee on a tank that they had already picked up on a cancelled account!! Big company so you are forced to pay or it affects your credtit. Its actually unbelievable. It cost hundres of dollars just to cancel service. Years of crazy fees and the highest prices, I am finally free of this horrible company!!! Please...DO NOT USE THEM PERIOD!!!!!!! I cant believe people can work for this company. The employees no how they scam the extra money from thier customers. Just ask them when you call. #neveramerigas

The WORST utility company; actually the worst business I've every had to deal with. As others have stated, they try to get you on the lease fee every year, even though there is no fee if you buy a certain amount of gas each year. Their customer service is terrible. They would rather loose me as a customer then honor the coupon I got in the mail to save $100 because the coupon was going to expire one month prior to when my yearly lease fee cycle started. After I told them I would cancel, they asked what they could do to change my mind..... (Duh???) I switched providers and saved well over $100 due to their inflated prices AND I have NO LEASE FEE to worry about. After I cancelled my service, it took them over 2 months to come get the tank and then they charged me a tank pick-up fee after I stored it on my property for 2 months. Do your homework and find a different provider. There are plenty of options that have way better service and prices. Whatever you do STAY CLEAR of AMERIGAS. I have heard many of the same complaints from many other former customers in my area. Not one person has ever said anything good about them. They don't even deserve one star.

We are a small local business. We were to be serviced on a biweekly basis (every two weeks) today is 7/27/21 and we have not been serviced since 7/2/21. When calling to ask for the company to come fill our cylinders we were told we cannot get serviced until our NEXT service date of 7/30/21!!!! Never mind that they SKIPPED our service on 7/16/21!!! I was hung up on by an AmeriGas customer service representative ROBERT, when I called back to talk to a manager I was told by another customer service rep. MARY that there were no managers available. I contacted the corporate (1-800 number) low and behold, I was able to speak to a manager (Thank you ANGELA who successfully found the "non-available" manager!) AMY who stated she will get with distribution and have someone come IMMEDIATELY and said she will follow up with me. Here we are with our production DOWN due to empty propane cylinders and NO RETURN CALL!!!! This company does NOT value their customers and I haven't even gotten into the erroneous invoices that took WEEKS almost A MONTH to correct. I do NOT recommend this company AT ALL!!!! If I could give ZERO STARS I most certainly would!

This company is horrible. I have been trying for 3 weeks to cancel my account and have them come and pick-up their tank. I am told I have a date for the tank removal only for that date to come and go and I still have the tank!
