Four years ago our previous propane delivery company sold out to Amerigas. Amerigas raised propane price from $1.78/gal to $2.50. Plus, Amerigas put in 4 new 500 gallon tanks (we’re a Catholic convent that heats 34 small bldgs) to replace my older 1,000/gal tanks. Then Amerigas wouldn’t transfer propane from those older tanks to new ones. The connections aren’t compatible with their equipment, Amerigas claims. Even though Amerigas fills the 4 new tanks on the same delivery they charge us for four delivery charges! The old company never charged a delivery fee. We’re firing Amerigas. But call center reps with accents difficult to understand say we can’t because there’s a verbal contract to keep them for another 2 yrs. “Nonsense” says the new propane company we hired.

If I could give this company a zero I would. This company has the worlds worst customer service. I quit using them eight months ago because I could never get through on the telephone and would be placed on hold for up to two hours. I have tried for eight months to get them to come pick up their tank. They say they will have someone contact me each time I called and no one ever contacts me. You are a fool if you do business with this company. It is the worst decision I’ve ever made in my life. They are absolutely horrible. Buyer beware.

If I could give zero I would. The customer service sounds like it’s in India. Tremendous delay on the phone line made it almost impossible to communicate. The woman just kept repeating from a script. I have had previous, equally frustrating, dealings with this company and recommend that anyone looking for propane choose someone else. These people are awful.

sxxx hole of a company I have been trying to get gas hooked up in my house since March excuse after excuse to finish the job gave up on them now they won’t come and remove there stuff so I can have a real company redo the job that they started have full tank in my yard that they filled with no way to use it the Hyannis office told me that they have no technician to finish the job came and started the job left after two hours management told me he retired why are they in business if they can’t do the job their customer service is the worst I think they read everything off a price of paper do not help at all so the management must suck to everything is recorded when you call all they care about is taking peoples money have been charged 900.97 and still have no gas in my house I have a full tank in my yard but not hooked up I am ready to roll that tank right down my driveway and put a free sign on it do not use this company they will not do what they say but will take your money they must have someone writing there reviews

ABSOLUTELY HORRID COMPANY. We moved into our new home ten months ago. Since then, we have already ran out of gas 3 times and are now on our second gas leak! It took them almost an entire week to come fix the leak after several phone calls made by my husband and myself. They could care less that we were without hot water for that long. Also, to say they have awful customer service is an understatement. They never follow up. They all have different answers. Could never confirm a day or time with me for an appointment. Gave me answers such as, "There is nothing we can do. It's in our area managers hands." They also don't keep their records straight. My husband had to call in three different times to add me (again) as authorized to speak on the account. Anyways, they finally fixed our regulator, but left it sticking up out of the ground and the lid completely open too. I called about it one week ago, and still no one has come out to correct it. AmeriGas is also the most expensive company and they suck! They are currently charging us $3.42 per gallon when the company we are switching to currently charges $2.89! Avoid AmeriGas at all costs! They will only cause you alot of aggravation and frustration. Oh and if you run out of gas or have a gas leak - GOOD LUCK. Plan to be out of hot water for weeks.

AMERIGAS HAS A EMPTY 500 GALLON TANK ON MY PROPERTY AND ITS BEEN 3 YEARS I HAVE ASKED THEM TO PICK IT UP. NOW WHAT? IS IT MINE? PLEASE PICK YOUR TANK UP BEFORE I SELL IT.

Do not use this company. Something has gone wrong with it. You cannot speak to a human being. Three times I was scheduled for fuel delivery in the last month. They have not showed up. I cancelled the service. Waiting for them to pick up their tanks so I can replace with a new company. I wonder if Amerigas will ever show up? Diane Dufresne. Yardley. PA

Two times I requested a labor technician to repair a small gas leak. No one showed up and when I called to inquire, the customer service representative, who spoke in a thick accent, said there was no record of a service request. I put in a third request and have yet to receive a call for a gas leak.
