I don't even want to give them 1 star. I am in my late 60's and in not so great health, my husband passed away in Sept. These people owe us almost $300.00 in per pay propane. I called to ask them to fill my tank because it is getting low. They refuse to do so because the acc. is in my dead husbands name. They want me to send them a death certificate, I told them no way because that is info they do not need to have. Personal info. SO now I am going to have to try and press charges on them through my bank to get my money back and in the mean time I am going to have to pay another company to come bring me a tank and fill it up. This company is the worst.

I have gotten 6 propane tanks for my grill. One tank leaked and iced up. It had obviously not been properly inspected. A second tank I just bought had been so tightened that I could barely loosen it with a 16" pipe wrench. The valve is probably compromised so I can't use it.

It's a shame to even have to give them 1 star. Worst decision made to move all local customer service to overseas subcontractor. Prices double or triple that of anyone else. We've had them for over 10 years and the cost of our yearly tank rental doubled as well. No idea how this company stays in business. Currently in the process of looking for a new provider.

We inherited a house with Amerigas tank. Setting up an account online was fine, but everything after that was a disaster. They said we needed a new tank, but failed to show up for their appointment. The worst part is they failed to contact us after failing to show up. FAIL! We had to contact them via phone and chat and more promises were made that we were on priority for service. No one contacted us to make the appointment. We had to contact them. Finally a new appointment date was set with a time range of 8-12. We sat in the house an hour past the time they were supposed to show up and NOTHING! We had to contact them again but this time no one answered, and when they did, we keep getting transferred around to phone reps, and the chat rep on their website even hung up on us. What kind of service is that?

This is the worst company to get LP gas. They charge for everything and customer service is terrible. Gas prices are double what others are charging. Do not get into a contract with this company you will regret it!

TERRIBLE COMPANY!!! THIS PLACE CHARGED ME FOR SOMETHING THAT FAILED ON THEIR END ON MY TANKS. MY TANKS ARE LEASED. I SHOULD NEVER HAD TO PAY BUT THEY WOULDN'T GIVE ME PROPANE IF I DIDN'T PAY FOR THE REPAIR. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. FORGET ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU CAN'T UNDERSTAND A WORD THEY SAY.

In northern California, Amerigas service is terrible and expensive. The local office is effectively closed in Chester, the phone number does not work, and you have to use the website to do everything. Their cost for propane is about 50% higher than other companies in the area. And last but not least, they sent me an invoice for more than $300 to come and remove their propane tank (the contract does say they will charge $199.99). I called their customer support, and found that the account had already been closed, and I could ignore the invoice. Check out their competition. You will almost certainly find better service and lower prices.
