Amerigas is nothing more than a neighborhood thief. I have read a lot of reviews and most of them are very accurate. There are a few reviews lising 3 or more stars and I am sure they came from customers that just don't know any better. Let me explain how the service works then I will explain how amerigas is out right stealing from their customers. Propane and LP gas is put into a tank in the form of a liquid and the tank is then pressurized with air which will push the liquid out as a gas vapor. The amerigas company is putting the liquid gas in the tanks but only pressurized it with enough air to only allow you to use maybe half of the liquid gas before losing pressure making it appear you have run empty. Then you pay the the full price to refill you tank and amerigad is only having to provide half the gas they would if they had properly pressurized the tank. They are scamming their customers and people are fools to keep using amerigas

UPDATE: So much for the 24-48 hour AmeriGas! Thanks for leaving us with zero fuel in the 23 degree weather throughout the nights. My kids really appreciate it. That’s right folks these morons have yet to respond to any of my phone calls, messages vis chat on their website, or emails. We are now on day 13 since ordering fuel! Quick to take your money yet they decide if and when they want to show up. We ordered fuel with 20 % as we were told to do. That was almost two weeks ago we are now on day three with no fuel. For those who do not know. If your tank gets to the zero fuel mark, guess what?!?!? That’s right they will charge you a fee for having to inspect the tank before fueling to make sure nothing happen when it went out. Fees I am not sure because once again these imbeciles give me different number each time. From 150-300. Now, they charged my card an additional 300 dollar fee for an emergency fill without my permission. As mentioned I have not heard a word from them. They went back and changed it to urgent three days ago. An emergency fill must be done within 1-3 days and as mentioned we are still at zero. How many of you think they will refund us the money?!?! Mind you I am still waiting for my refund from the last time they left us high and dry. Last year! DO BETTER AMERIGAS!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY DONT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT OR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ORDERED 200 GALLONS. THEIR DRIVER CAME OUT AND FILLED THE TANK THEN LOCKED IT. I ARGUED WITH THEM ABOUT THE BILL. SAID THEY WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT BUT DIDNT. NOW ITS DECEMBER AND THEY WOULD RATHER HOLD ME ACCOUNTABLE FOR SOMETHING I DIDNT ORDER AND LET MY MOTHER FREEZE TO DEATH OVER A PAST BILL. ONE SUPERVISOR SAID. JUST PAY FOR THE ORDER AND WE UNDERSTAND YOUR MOTHER IS ELDERLY. THEN THIS MORNING. SORRY. THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD YOU THAT. NO ACCOUNTABILITY AT ALL. TRUST ME FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO SERVICE YOUR PROPANE. IT WILL SAVE YOU A LOT OF GRIEF

I tried to reinstate service after the hurricane. The online systems are about as bad as I've encountered. You can only pay for the set up with an automated phone system that doesn't work and sends you directly to India; the offshore call center doesn't seem to have access to the same data as onshore. I WASTED 3 hours of my life today merely reinstating an account and paying for it. One 5 minute call with someone in the US who know what they are doing could have solved it all.

Wish I could give this company zero stars .Mydying elderly mother cut off her budget plan for being late with only 2 payment but she paid them right away. She has bare money not even enough to cover expenses. And they won’t put her back on it. Who can afford 6-700 for a tank of gas at one time . I see why they are rate 1.3 stars . They had lawsuits too from what I’ve read and seen on news . I see why the this company is shady . Y’all suck!!

I have been waitinga week to get propane. Spent hours on the phone to speak to people in the philippines. Obvious language gaps and lack of understanding that my tenant moved out and that I am the owner, and they cant make me pay another persons bill. I got one person to understand, and said it would resolve and call back in 24 hrs. I just called and the cycle begins again. No delivery.

The most recent issue is that they have left the tank in my yard for months after canceling service. Calling I spent 45 minutes wasted bouncing between people who kept saying there was no planned removal date and no one could give me one and I had to wait possibly months for someone to call me to then tell me the scheduled date might be months after that. Had problems from the outset. Too many to list, but suffice it to say we had no heat or hot water for a week at one point and pipes froze.

What a horrible experience! I own my tank and always research for the best price. AmeriGas quoted me a great price so I used them this year. BIG MISTAKE! They came back a week later and I asked what they wanted. Said they wouldn’t be able to fill it in the future as it belonged to another company. I informed them it was part of the home purchase four years prior. A month later, I received a $165 bill for early contract termination! Called immediately and was told it would be turned into billing for charges to be dropped. Two months later and I received a new bill: $165 plus late fees! Called C/S and reiterated all this. Asked for a supervisor. After 23 minutes on hold, I was disconnected. This company is pure hell.
