DO NOT USE AMERIGAS!! Worst company of any kind that we have ever had to work with. We bought a house with an Amerigas propane tank. We had the tank filled. Then we bought a whole house generator and spent the next 6 weeks trying to get Amerigas to set an appointment to hook up the generator. You cannot talk to someone local. Their support is in the Phillipines and despite dozens of calls, emails, and use of their on-line form, we NEVER received a call to set up an appointment for hook-up. We contacted the propane company that we used at our previous home and they came and put their tank in and hooked up the generator. They placed the Amerigas tank out in the front yard. We have been calling for 2 months now to get them to pick up the tank and refund our money for the propane in the tank. We've been told several times that the people from their Wayland office would contact us. Absolutely nothing has happened!!! Absolutely the WORST COMPANY we've ever had to deal with!!!

Broke my gauge after filling my tank however only registered 60% when gauge was repaired, hmmm, sold home, cleared up bill, 6 months down road they want $170 for early termination, Dumbasses, over phone I have 0 balance but get billed? Coops are the best,

Company overbilled me by $466.34 and will not refund the overage. Does not even respond to my customer service inquiries.

They are charging me for 2 refills on the same day. One is double the other. I have spoked to every country around the world trying to get it resolved. They seem to be con artist trying to charge for the gas twice. Please AVOID them at all COST!!!

Not only does Amerigas want me to pay for a bill that was the INCORRECT PRICE for propane. They want me to pay for the CORRECT PRICE BUT WITHOUT A BREAKDOWN SHOWING THE CORRECT PRICE. Now they want me to ALSO PAY for the OVERAGE THAT THEY CAUSED that could result in an EXPLOSION. We had to have an OVERFILL TANK installed by Amerigas to alleviate this problem when the tank heats up. The Amerigas Installer stated YES, Amerigas was at fault and there would be NO CHARGE for the service. So instead of getting a CORRECTED BILL, I have THREE BILLS for ONE FILL. We have sent our complaints to BBB and NY State Consumer Office to hopefully get the problems corrected. And found that AMERIGAS WILL NOT ANSWER THE NY STATE CONSUMER OFFICE.

If i could give it no stars, i would. This company told me my gas tank had a leak, fixed it and charged. We had already laid for it to be filled prior… the leak made the tank decrease “rapidly”. Told us fuel would be sent next day, they didnt. I was not able to make xmas dinner for family out of town and forced to get hotel bc we have no heat and bo stove. They lied and i could mot get ANYONE to say when the fuel would be delivered. They just kept saying “our apologize about the situation”. Screw them and their company. Merry destoyed christmas

I have been an Amerigas customer for 20 years and every time I have an issue that I need to speak with someone, I am infuriated. Horrible call center in the Phillipines. No one can answer your questions unless it is simple. You cannot reach any local office in the US and the website even says do not walk in their office. I have been waiting for a call back from local customer service for 5 days. Once I get a number I will post it on every review site so people will be able to contact someone in the states.

I have a balance, Liheap paid them $1200 today. I have been trying to get propane for a week now and each foreigner rep I speak to lies. Oh sure you can get a delivery tomorrow, well that's a load of bull. Even though LIHEAP did pay them today, they said I have to pay them $241 before they will deliver. Merry Christmas to me. I am in W/Pa and it's freezing. I am using space heaters on my pipes so they don't freeze. I am 71 and crippled w/arthritis and a few other ailments, these people do not care. They aren't even willing to set up terms for me to pay them even though I pay them $100 a month. I can't get caught up because their prices are so high. Also, the gauge on one tank is defective and they won't replace it. the needle sticks so they are charging me for gas that isn't in there. So if I don't freeze to death by the time I can get gas I'm going to get out from under this company come hell or high water. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY'RE A RIPOFF.
