Buyer Beware – Terrible Experience, Lost Property, No Accountability
Buyer Beware – Terrible Experience, Lost Property, No Accountability I gave America’s Best Lenses two pairs of Oakley frames—one being a pair of Flak sunglasses, the other a pair of oakley frames in a microfiber bag and hard leather case—for new lenses. What I got back was a nightmare: only one original frame returned, the other replaced with a cheap, generic knockoff. The Oakley Flak sunglasses? Gone. The leather case and microfiber bag? Gone. In their place? Two flimsy wool sleeves like something you'd find at a flea market. When I went back to confront them, the manager gave me attitude and offered a “replacement” from their display that wasn’t even close to what they lost—nothing of similar style, quality, or value. I’m now out over $500 trying to replace what they lost. I’m working in getting in touch with corporate to attempt to get even partial compensation, but so far, no resolution. Bottom line: they lost my high-end gear and did nothing to make it right. Avoid this place unless you’re cool with being treated like your property—and your business—don’t matter. Update: they did contact me today and offered to outsource new frames of the same style. However after being told that was not an option yesterday, I went right to oakley to order replacements. The refunded me the entire order of $159. The replacement frames were $214, but since the other pair of lenses are free now valued at $55. But its not really worth pursuing further. I've heard other locations are better.
