AllTrails customer support for overcharge issue is lacking.
I signed up for AllTrails' money-back trial, but my experience was disappointing. The app itself did not work well for me. On my hike, a text box overlaid the map, making it difficult to navigate, and the route tracing was inaccurate. I canceled my membership after being charged $35.99 on June 25. On July 2, I received a refund of $35.99, but I was also charged another $35.99 the same day. I contacted the customer support chatbot multiple times about the billing issue. Each time I was told that a human support representative would email me within 48 hours. No one ever responded. Software issues can happen, but what concerns me most is the lack of customer support. If you're considering the trial, keep a close eye on your billing and be aware that you may have difficulty reaching a human if something goes wrong. Note added 9 hrs later: I posted similar info to Better Business Bureau which contacted AllTrails. My second payment was refunded to my credit card several hours later, for which I am grateful to AllTrails. They reported having a problem with my email address.
