Doctor great, system not so much
The doctor who I met with was great, and that was the only positive thing for me about the experience working with Allara. I had unpleasant symptoms immediately upon taking the hormones I was prescribed for perimenopause, and left questions in the portal to be forwarded to the doctor. They say that it can take up to 48 hours to respond, but the doctor finally received my messages 5 days after I had sent them, at which point I had stopped the medication myself. It wasn’t the doctor’s fault, she hadn’t been forwarded the messages. Also, they initially said they took my insurance and then 3 weeks later, said that they didn’t and I was just billed - they did give me $25 off but I wasn’t expecting to pay $125 for the appointment. If an online health program is going to be efficient, expediency and transparency are important. Again, I really liked the doctor I saw, so the 3 stars are because of her, otherwise the rating would be lower.
