I reached out for help with perimenopause services and was told that this was indeed the right place to get these services. Unfortunately, when I paid and then met with the doctor, she was surprised since she said they only work with PCOS and not perimenopause. I have been asking for a refund for over a year to no avail. The customer service person has been fractious. Beware--they want to make the sale so they misrepresent services.

We apologize for the initial communication. We have extended our services beyond PCOS and would be delighted to make it up to you!

Joined Allara 2 months ago. I was desperate, and saw some reviews on social media so I decided to give it a try. I went through all the information and told me my insurance would cover and I could pay $20 a month. During the consultation the lady told me I had to pay $99. I was devastated, because to me is a lot of money monthly but eventually decided to make sacrifices. My first appointment went well, and the doctor sent lab work and we spoke about my next visit and even went through dates and time. The call finished with me putting it in my calendar. Comes the day of the visit and two things happened: 1- The doctor never set the appointment, and turns out I had to. 2- Someone contacted me that my insurance did cover and I could pay $20 a month, I was grateful and agreed to sign for the year and they charged me almost the whole amount instead of crediting what I had paid. I reached out and customer service is awful, respond to respond instead of reading. And the lady who told me about the $20 is now absent to my complaint of the surcharge. This company is not professional at all, which is heartbreaking because I had high hopes.

I have struggled with PCOS for 10 years. I was hopeful for this company, but was pushed the same medication all the other docs I have seen focused on. No mention of nutrition and how to manage things outside of medication. I was super disappointed. :(

I have struggled with PCOS for years, particularly with acne and stubborn weight. The doctor I met with spent our consultation time focusing on what medications I could take to address my acne/high testosterone, with no time spent talking about any holistic options. I had to ask and push in order for her to finally acknowledge that medications were not my ONLY option and that high testosterone could be managed by lifestyle and diet changes. It felt like I was meeting with my old dermatologists and gynecologists all over again. Maybe this was just her approach to getting me to sign up for the program (I only got the initial labs/consultation), but I just really didn’t feel heard. I was excited that Allara offered both western + eastern approaches to managing PCOS, but this doctor stood solely in the western, and I already have those doctors! Reviewing my labs with her gave some helpful insights, but overall I do not feel comfortable continuing with Allara.

The knowledge the Allara providers have been able to share has been well beyond any doctor I have ever seen! It is so refreshing to finally have care from people that fully understand the ins and outs of PCOS.

I've been a part of Allara since I believe May 2022, the doctor I've been seeing is great, she not only goes over my blood work but explains everything means in a way someone, not in the medical field could understand. The dietician has been extremely helpful, she checks in with me about once a week and assists me through any hurdles I'm struggling with via food etc. I've lost weight with their help, I've managed my menstrual cycle and I've fought through issues with food with all of their help.
