Signing up for allara was the best decision I’ve ever made. If you’re wondering if it’s worth the money, I say it is. I have been struggling with pcos and the associated symptoms for years. I’ve been to countless doctors telling me to just go on birth control and come back when I want to have a baby. Allara has been so helpful and supportive with getting me the right medication and helping with lifestyle changes. I don’t know where I would be without them. I finally have my period back, my acne is virtually gone, and I don’t feel exhausted all the time. My dietician and doctor have been beyond helpful and I love them so much. Life changer!

So far, the best is having the bloodwork done, but the appointments between the doctor and nutritionist have been too far away from each other and make progress very slow. I actually had to reach out to a different nutritionist as my first appointment was almost a month away and my symptoms were really not good. I am glad I made that decision because the nutrition plan from that external person is actually better and makes more sense than the one I am getting from Allara. How come I am not getting an allergy test for food? So far I am not as satisfied as I thought I would've been.

Person who I spoke to on the informational call told me I’d receive pages of test results because they test for so many different things that it would go above and beyond what you get at your regular doctor. That was false. Spent $180 (plus multiple copays) for the membership to receive 15 tests. All repeat tests that a basic endocrinologist or your PCP would do - I had more tests done at my pcp and an endocrinologists. There is nothing different about these doctors except that they take your call virtually while getting their steps in - aka they care less. Nutritionist was helpful but only 1 appointment was necessary with her if you know even the slightest bit about nutrition. Definitely not worth the subscription model. UPDATE: They reached out and I explained to the person that I wrote this exact same thing on the post-appointment survey and no one reached out (aka they really dont care and waited until the review was public to try and save face). Also received my bill for my blood work, I am now all in for $477 ($180 for service, $227 for blood work, $35 for initial dr visit copay and $35 for follow up dr visit where she spent the whole time on her treadmill) for 2 months of the service and blood work I could have gotten done at my doctor without paying $227 for). Still would not recommend.

While I do not have PCOS, Allara was still a good fit for my medical needs. Like so many of the other reviews, I had nagging health concerns that for YEARS I could not get a primary care doctor to take seriously and was always chalked up to, "being a mom," "being in grad school," "training for a marathon," "being too stressed," essentially it was all in my head. Allara listened to my concerns, ran necessary bloodwork, and even when everything came back "normal," they still used insight to identify results that, though normal, were not ideal. This has now resulted in getting the necessary referrals for a local endocrinologist and rheumatologist. I do not have a clear answer yet, but I feel closer than I have in years.

I recently signed up for annual membership and couldn't even access my dashboard to schedule an appointment due to not being able to bypass the insurance information (I have an HSA card no insurance plan). Then I have to email someone to wait for an answer on how to fix this. Not impressed.
