30 days in Africa...Kenya, Rwanda, Zambia, Botswana, South Africa...all fantastic! Would not hesitate to do it again with Alexander & Roberts. Loved the tented camps especially and trekking with mountain gorillas in Rwanda. Seeing the "Big Five" and "Magnificent Seven" more than once was wonderful! Our hosts in each location were so very gracious and treated us like royalty. All our flights and transfers were exactly as planned...no delays. After our safari, my husband and I enjoyed two days at the elegant Saxon Hotel in Johannesburg where we also took a city tour with a private guide and visited Soweto where Nelson Mandela had resided; all very interesting. I still miss the beautiful people and animals of the places we visited in Africa. Can't wait to go again!

Alexander+Roberts private tour of…
Alexander+Roberts private tour of Santiago, Chile & Easter Island -- very nearly PERFECTO!
Guides -- We had to have been blessed by two of the nicest people in Chile. Solange Arriagada is charming and attentive. She asked many questions to get to know us and determine our preferences in Santiago. She allowed us to go “off script” and to the Pre-Columbian Art Museum, rather than San Cristobal Hill which we visited on our own the next day. Roberto Teao, on Easter Island was great, telling stories as he drove, spreading rumors, singing native songs, and generally entertaining us for eight hours. We did take a break for fresh-cooked hot lunch back in town on a picnic table in the back-yard at the Mahinatur office. He also allowed us to go “off script” to see the Vinapu site with its unique stone wall.
Accommodations -- Le Reve Boutique Hotel in Santiago was cozy. The street has a few restaurants, and when we opened our windows, two buskers (one guitar and one trumpet) entertained us each night from a distance performing So Nice, Girl from Ipanema, Take Five, and We are the Champions, et al. Our bungalow at Taha Tai Hotel on Easter Island was darling. Only a short walk from “downtown” Hanga Roa, we were situated in a more residential area with chickens and at least one cow being kept nearby. The restaurant overlooks the Pacific Ocean.
Travel -- Flying from JFK airport and back was a breeze. LATAM is a precise airline, and they feed you well! Leg one from JFK to Santiago, and Leg 2 from Santiago to Easter Island were easy. More taxing was the return, Easter Island to Santiago, Santiago to Lima, and Lima to JFK had us in airports and on planes for a solid 24 hours -- with more vacation time available, I might have added on two more days in Santiago on the back end.
Downtime -- Given the timeframe we selected, we missed a few things. But we would have, anyway. Monday in Santiago, Tuesday & Thursday on Easter Island offered us the opportunity to wander freely, which we did. In fact, we used our time wisely and enjoyed three on-our-own days. A highly-scheduled trip can be fun, but this private tour was remarkable in so many ways!

Every aspect of this trip was handled excellently by you
Every aspect of this trip was handled excellently by you. The tour guides were exceptional. Caring for us as we arrived and departed couldn't have been better. The Marriott hotels in Lima and Cusco were superb. We were affected by the altitude in Cusco and the care we received was very good, including oxygen providers at the hotel. The trip to Machu Picchu stretched us, likely because of our age (76). We survived and had a great experience. The tour guide there went far and above what might be called for in helping us with steps and the terrain. We will never forget this experience.

This tour of Peru was very interesting.
This tour of Peru was very interesting. All the guides were very good but Carlos was absolutely great. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor and most of a a very nice person. All the food and accommodations were very good. The train ride to Machu Picchu was a great experience.

Family trip to India 10 days five stops
First of all our guide Sandeep was excellent, knowledgeable, professional.Mumbi, first hotel excellent, local guide just average,we stayed in all Oberoi Hotels.Udipur, hotel great, the room was not,we where there for Holi holiday .Jaipur, hotel great and staff,Amber Fort impressive.Agra ,again hotel amazing,TajMahal views fantastic.Delhi ,travel company used wrong hotel, not downtown, bad location for sightseeing. We had incomplete room categories in three of five hotels??The strength of our guide Sandeep saved the trip.If you book Oberoi Hotels, the room description of “ premier “ is not enough, that s a incomplete description that will require more detail.A&R disappointing with hotel dealings.India what a rush,I would return but not sure about using A&R.

We had an outstanding experience with Alexander & Roberts for our trip to Peru. The guides were so informative and we saw so much that enriched our experience of this country. In addition, our accommodations, meals, and transportation were just fine in all respects.
