PAID $2,525.03, NEVER RECEIVED THE APPLIANCE, AND AJ MADISON KEPT $505.01!** I strongly recommend thinking twice before purchasing anything from AJ Madison, especially an expensive appliance. On October 6, 2026, we purchased a KitchenAid cooktop from AJ Madison for $2,525.03. We confirmed a delivery appointment for October 12 between 1:30 PM and 5:30 PM. Their delivery company subsequently changed our appointment to 4:30 PM–8:30 PM without our approval. Our business closes at 6 PM, but we made arrangements to stay after hours to receive the appliance. **THE DELIVERY NEVER ARRIVED.** After numerous calls, emails, and attempts to resolve the situation, we requested cancellation and a full refund. Instead of taking responsibility for the delivery problems, AJ Madison attempted to charge us a **35% RESTOCKING FEE**. Think about that. We never received the appliance. We never accepted delivery. We never even had the merchandise in our possession. After further complaints, AJ Madison reduced the fee to 20%, as though that somehow made the situation acceptable. They refunded $2,020.02 but **KEPT $505.01 OF OUR MONEY**. We never agreed to accept that partial refund as a final resolution. Despite providing documentation and explaining the delivery situation repeatedly, AJ Madison refused to issue a full refund. We have since disputed the transaction with our financial institution and pursued a formal consumer complaint with the New York State Attorney General. I understand that businesses have return policies. However, I strongly disagree with charging a customer hundreds of dollars in restocking fees when the merchandise was never delivered and the cancellation followed problems with the company's delivery arrangements. **This has been one of the most frustrating purchasing experiences I have ever had.** What should have been a straightforward appliance purchase turned into hours of wasted time, unnecessary stress, and a dispute over $505.01. My advice to anyone considering purchasing appliances from AJ Madison: **READ THEIR RESTOCKING POLICY CAREFULLY. UNDERSTAND THEIR DELIVERY ARRANGEMENTS. Zero stars if I could. I purchased a dishwasher online from them because it said delivery and installation would be in two days. Once I ordered, they told me 2 weeks. Fine. When it came, we tried the dishwasher and it leaked everywhere. We complained the same day and they made us wait a month before saying we needed to get it repaired vs sending us a new one. Fast forward two months later, the broken dishwasher is still sitting in our kitchen. After dozens of calls with them, nothing was done. Would not recommend this company! Associates are incompetent incapable of getting anything done or escalated.

We placed an order for a freezer, a dishwasher, and a stove top over a month and a half ago. We moved into a new house and AJ Madison outsources their delivery services to a third company. The third-party delivery service had our appliances for over a month and we never got a delivery, they missed five deliveries, kept delaying it had absolutely horrible communication even worked with the supervisor Aj Madison, Cheryl, to work with their sales rep on getting the delivery rescheduled. Delayed over and over again when it would be delivered never delivered and we finally got to the point where we said screw it. This is not worth it. We were able to get the same appliances from somewhere else and get them delivered within one day. I would never recommend using them. It was a complete waste of time and we had to live in a house without our appliances for over three weeks. I don’t know how they’re still in business.

Wouldn’t let us decide a delivery window. Dryer delivered defective. Third party delivery company didn’t know how to install correctly and caused a gas leak. They also left all the trash in my yard. Couldn’t get a refund for that. I didn’t even know it was a third party because they have a similar name and AJ Madison doesn’t give you a choice but to use them. It took weeks to get them to acknowledge the dryer was defective. I went months without a dryer before finally getting a refund and just buying from Home Depot no problem.

I would strongly caution anyone considering ordering an expensive appliance from AJ Madison. We waited approximately SIX MONTHS for a KitchenAid built-in microwave that cost around $2,700. When it finally arrived, the front was bent and the unit itself appears skewed/misaligned. This is not a minor cosmetic issue on an inexpensive appliance — this is a nearly $3,000 built-in microwave that arrived damaged. When we contacted AJ Madison, we were told that because the damage was reported outside their 15-day reporting window, they would not replace it, repair it, or provide any other meaningful solution. Think about that before placing an expensive order: we waited approximately six months for the appliance, but AJ Madison gives the customer only 15 days to discover and report damage. Once that window passes, apparently you can be left with a damaged $2,700 appliance and no assistance. We are now facing the possibility of having to purchase ANOTHER $2,700 microwave simply because the one delivered to us was damaged. I understand that companies need reasonable damage-reporting policies. What I do not understand is refusing to offer any solution whatsoever for an expensive appliance that was delivered damaged — especially after the customer waited months for it. At the very least, I expected AJ Madison to work with us toward a repair, replacement part, manufacturer assistance, or some other reasonable resolution. Had I understood that AJ Madison’s policy could leave us completely responsible for a damaged appliance after 15 days, I would never have purchased an appliance this expensive from them. I am posting this both to warn other customers to inspect absolutely EVERYTHING immediately upon delivery and in the hope that someone at AJ Madison with the authority to actually resolve this situation will reach out and help us.

Like others, I have experienced a bait and switch regarding deliveryOn 8/25 I ordered a range from them because I needed it rapidly, as they had listed on their website. Later on 8/25, I was told it was shipped. On 9/3, I was told it would be shipped in 1 week and was delayed because it was in Thor's California warehouse ( I live in NY, which they knew when I ordered.) On 9/18, I was told that I'd have to wait at least 7 more business days

AJ Madison lies in their delivery estimate taking advantage of the perception Amazon has created with their fast delivery. They have no ability to deliver anywhere near the dates given. Customer Service = No The third party delivery company (AM Home Delivery) never showed up on the twice confirmed day. Their representatives sound like they are heavily medicated and don’t care. The background noise also indicates these representatives are working remotely. One of them must have been on the runway at an airport. The others were probably at rehab centers. Lie to your customers and see what happens.

Do not buy from this company! They delivered a defective product, which the delivery person plugged in, and told us it is now a used product because it was plugged in and they won’t accept a return. We called them within hours of the delivery and followed their policy and their only solution is for us to take time off from work to accommodate up to two repair visits. I never signed for the unit either, and the delivery person gave me no time to inspect it. This company is fraudulent. Read the reviews, do not buy from them.
