STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS
I purchased a dishwasher through AJ Madison and what followed was weeks of delays, miscommunication, and ultimately having to do the installation myself. The item arrived at the local warehouse on May 8. I was promised contact within five days to schedule delivery — none came. I had to call the third-party delivery company myself, only to discover logistical errors that had stalled everything. After multiple calls and a three-way conference with both companies, the delivery was then quietly cancelled without any notification to me. I had to reinstate it myself. We were then informed there would be a $600 fee for a small truck. AJ Madison agreed to split this, but only after I pushed for it in writing. I ultimately paid $300 for a delivery problem that stemmed from their carrier's failures. When the delivery finally arrived, the situation went from bad to worse. The installers could not figure out how to turn off the water valve under the sink. They then refused to install the new dishwasher or remove the old one, claiming a copper line was corroded — it was in fact simply an air intake joint. Basic plumbing knowledge would have made that clear. I ended up installing the dishwasher myself and hauling away the old unit on my own. I spent an extraordinary number of hours on the phone and via email just to receive and install something I paid for. At times I genuinely questioned whether this was legitimate. AJ Madison cannot meet the most basic standards of delivering and installing a purchased appliance. I would strongly caution anyone considering ordering from them, particularly for appliances requiring delivery and installation.
