I had my Surgeon perform an evaluation of my left shoulder after I attempted to lift a bag of groceries out of from my suv. Unbeknownst to me they were caught in the net and I kept lifting when all hell broke loose and the pain was incredible. He determined that I most likely re-tore it as I had rotator cuff surgery in 2022. He requested an MRI and Aetna quickly said no. I have to do physical therapy first. Surgeon says not a good idea. He also isn't going to attempt a peer to peer to dicuss why I need this so I'm finding a different Surgeon. I will notify my human resources of the circumstances

Trash company, like all insurance companies. Will take your money, and have AI deny all your claims. Trash service, very American.

I'm a senior with an Aetna Medicare advantage plan. I went to the dentist for an exam and routine cleaning. The following month I received a bill for a covered service. I called Aetna and the rep called the dentist while I was on hold. The rep came back told me he explained to the provider the claim was submitted incorrectly. Problem solved? No. I received two or three more bills and made two or three more calls to Aetna. I was told they can't reach provider and to file a grievance. Grievance was filed and a few days received a call from that department. I was unable to take the call but I returned the call several times and left a few messages. Haven't heard anything since. I took it upon myself to call the dentist and explained what was going on. I was told to disregard the bill and I won't receive any more. My question is why couldn't Aetna resolve this matter? With prices going up and you getting less for that money you would think you would get customer service. Unfortunately it's most of the insurance companies practice charge more and give less. I have Aetna insurance so my review is about them. My took place over four months.

After 3 representatives not even getting both my name and address wrong. They couldn’t simply get the 2027 prices for ozempic I’m switching my drug plan.

If I could leave zero stars I would. My team was informed the day before surgery that my coverage request was denied despite the hospital repeatedly reaching out for final approval the two weeks prior. It's despicable enough to waste my time as a member but to also throw off the ORs schedule along with my surgeon's and her teams is unacceptable. I hope they don't drag their feet responding to my appeal but I expect very little from Aetna insurance at this time. If you also have a federal plan, they exclude "anything transgender" now but are too coward to stand on their discriminatory moves like the rest of these insurance companies. My procedure was for multiple reasons outside of gender affirming care, primarily health and sexual safety, but when I call for the reason from them instead of what the hospital clawed out, I'm left on hold for 30 minutes then hung up on. I wish I was surprised but I'm certainly disappointed.

86 year old woman lied to after taking over an hour to sign me up with Aetna. They were to pay my premiums with me being on food program with Medicaid. They paid January thru May stopped!! Two payments were taken out for June and July, now every month from my small Social Security deposit. Aetna is so dishonest. Now I received a letter saying my coverage with Aetna plus extra drug help will end December 31, 2026. I have noone, I live alone and pay rent. I am not well. Never get AETNA COVERAGE!!!

so what it will take for Aetna to wake up and start being a responsible and reliable health insurance? People keep complaining and nothing is changing. Denials upon denials. Costs rising constantly and services deteriorate.

Aetna denied the prior authorization for my diabetes medication because my blood work looked too good and because of this I didn't qualify for the medication. The medication they are denying is the reason my blood work is so good. Catch 22. This should be illegal.
