Their rebate program makes it seem it is applied automatically, but in reality it is an arduous process, in the hopes that you won't notice or won't bother. It's incredibly and intentionally inefficient, and it reveals the 1800-contact management as the greedy scoundrels they are.

I had very very friendly, helpful, courteous and smart sales and customer service people on the phone. However, despite assurances, even written assurances, that my contacts would arrive next day (I paid for overnight), they didnt. And not only that, when they looked into it the next day, the order hadn't even been ready to be shipped. They were very kind and apologetic. Still, I cancelled my order with 1800 Contacts. This is just terrible logistics, especially for a company that does one thing and one thing only. Too bad because the reps were just wonderful on the phone.

They promise you a rebate but the process is very convoluted and cumbersome hoping that you don't take advantage of it. Link they send is unable to print and they will not process it over the phone.

Customer service is excellent. Slightly more expensive, but worth it. More companies should be this well run!

I was thoroughly amazed at how good my experience was purchasing lenses from 1800contacts. I browsed through several forums to find where people shop for contacts online and most of them mentioned 1800contacts. I went on their website and saw the price match guarantee but you have to call them to get it, which seemed like a bummer. However, the customer service rep who answered my call was incredibly friendly and expedient with handling my order. Not only did they match the cheapest price I found on another online retailer, they also beat their price by 2%. I emailed them my prescription while I was chatting with her. My order arrived in less than a week. I generally hate having to call customer service but man, this CS rep truly knew how to fill in the time with good conversation while moving the transaction along smoothly. I will definitely order my contacts from them again.

This is my first order with this company, I thought this would be a cheaper & more convenient way to order contacts than where I had my eye exam. Customer service & shipping has been an issue, would never try to purchase from them again & I would not recommend them to anyone else. Originally, I placed my order 11/09/18. I was having issues with the website at checkout. I tried paying with PayPal, website rejected this payment form. I paid with my own card, it was accepted, but website somehow pulled an old address from my PayPal account for shipping that was different than the address I manually entered. I received shipping confirmation the same day, I noticed the address error & I notified the company of the issue within an hour of the same day. The company replied within the same day, they would send my order to the correct address so I provided the correct address. I never received a response or order so I followed up with customer service on 11/23/18, they apologized for not reviewing my email with the address & they would get my order sent right away. I receive an order confirmation, customer service said I should receive my order 11/27/18. So 11/27/18 passes, no order was received. 1-800-Contacts calls me multiple times during work & emails me on 11/28/18 that they are unable to verify my prescription so they will have to cancel my prescription if I cannot verify my prescription within 24 hours. I don't understand how they were able to ship my first order to the incorrect address if they were unable to verify my prescription? I asked that 1-800-Contacts cancel my order & provide a full refund, this is still pending. I recommend looking into Walgreens for contacts before ordering through 1-800-Contacts, I found my contacts for a much lower price & less hassle.

Have used this company for years and have never been disappointed. Great customer service.
