I ordered contacts with Systane drops. They were expired. Called to complain. They sent me another pack. Expired as well! When I called to complain, they didn't seem to care and refunded me. This is eyes we are talking about. I have ordered from them for years. I am done!

The customer service representative named Alicia was wonderful she's out of Texas. 1800 Contacts should make this amazing lady head of the department. She knows all the right questions to ask and how to make you feel cared for. I had an issue with DAILIES AquaComfort Plus contacts that I has switched to because they were cheaper and what can I say "you get what you pay for". She helped me switch back to a much better brand called ACUVUE® OASYS® 1-Day

I was a new customer to 1-800-CONTACTS. They were extremely helpful. They sent my RX and said to try them, and if they didn't work out, I would get a full refund. The first type didn't work out. The second type *did* work out very well. I returned the first lenses to them. I was waiting for my refund to show up on my charge card, as they already got them back on the 12th. (I am writing this on the 25th). So, I ask the agent where my refund to my AMEX is. Her first response "it takes 2 weeks". She said she would process and immediate refund as they had received the lenses back on the 12th.. I again asked her about that policy, and my disssatisfaction with them not promptly refunding to my credit card. Her next question was "did you return all the lenses in their box?" WHY would they ask that question? They just got done saying they received them on the 12th. I asked the agent why it takes 2 weeks for a refund, Amazon does it same-day. Her response "it takes up to 2 weeks for a refund, but I will process one for you now". I told her I was dissastified with that.. Her response? 'we are having staffing delays for returns'. So, let me get this straight - you have all the people in the world to TAKE and FILL a order, and CHARGE my charge card, but you don't have enough people to promptly issue a refund on returned goods? I personally will not re-order from this company until they change their business practices when it comes to refunds on returned products. Why do I have to call and complain to get a prompt refund? For right now, 1-800-CONTACTS is only getting 3 stars for a review.

I have never had any issues. Getting contacts is extremely inconvenient for me so I really love this service. Also, the prices are comparable to what I have been used to, now its just more convenient.

Followed directions to order contacts. Received an email stating order received. Then received another e mail stating order cancelled, couldn't verify prescription. Called eye doc. They received no inquiries from 1800contacts. Received another email prescription was verified and to order (which I thought I already had). Saw a charge on my debit account from 1800contacts. Called them and they verified the order was cancelled. When asked why they charged me before verification, there was no explanation. Only that it could take 3 to 5 days to get my money back. 10 minutes to take my money, 3 to 5 days to get it back for a service/product they could not provide. All of this a many conflicting emails makes this company a stay away for me.

We do apologize for any confusion regarding our refund policy. Thank you for providing more information about your account, we were able to find it. We received confirmation from your eye doctor on 08/16 at 10:03 AM that there was an issue on your prescription which is what led to the initial order being canceled. We are terribly sorry if there was any miscommunication on that process. With that in mind, funds are withdrawn before verification because that is simply the fastest way to get lenses to our customers. Most orders have a prescription attached and therefore are able to be sent out immediately. If we have to verify an order, the likelihood of an order being declined is much lower than an order being approved by an eye doctor. Therefore, it's fastest to charge ahead of time so we can immediately ship an order without delay. We completely understand your frustration with this situation and we would love an opportunity to make it right by you.
