Hi George - sorry that you had a negative experience but no scanner software is compatible with Mac's. Not the Sentinel or EZ Scan software that come with some Uniden & Whistler models or any aftermarket software. We call this out on the product page of every scanner we sell including the one you purchased. While scanner software will not work on Mac's, we sell scanners to Mac owners all the time. Since you bought a BCD436HP scanner we could have programmed an SD card set up for your area. We offered to do this for free but you declined as you wanted to program via your computer which there was no way of doing. Other Mac owners have bowered a PC from a friend or family member to set up their scanner which you declined as well. We also sell a $200 PC computer which you could have used to program your computer. We tried to make this work for you but unfortunately there is no way of setting this up via Mac. We changed a restocking fee per our terms as you took everything out of the box and we could not sell as new. Also, as we have free shipping the restocking fee covers the shipping costs. As a small business we really pride ourselves on customer service and we take negative reviews like this very serious as they greatly affect our ability to stay in business.

Hi David - glad your scanner is working. We always try to be the least expensive but in case you find somewhere else for less we'll always match. We will match anyone's price apples to apples. However, programming is a service we included in the original price that the competition was not offering. Regardless of price, we're happy everything is working and we're always here to help in case something comes up. Have a great weekend.
