Great website! I used it two times in the last three years to find a home to rent. Love the feature when you can narrow down your search to a particular school district.

I noticed discrepancies on Zillow's database as it related to my home and several properties around me. Many of the owner-occupied homes were showing with decreasing property values, while some of the rental homes were showing with increasing property values. That is totally inaccurate being that many of those homes are in disrepair and the renters trash those properties. So I contacted Zillow and basically was told that they use a computer-based algorithm that gives an approximation of property values. I understand that approximations are not precise, but when an algorithm is that far off, it is completely inaccurate. I asked the person (Jio) how to correct it and they basically said there was really no way to update it. I then asked to have my information removed from their database and they tried to tell me they could not. I did not elect to have my information disclosed on their site, especially not with inaccurate information, so I requested that they remove it. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and Consumer Affairs as inaccurate reporting of property values should not be allowed.

Zillow is one of the most inaccurate estimates of home values on line. Their estimate of value of homes within neighborhoods is to say the least ridiculously inaccurate. Case in point... my home is surrounded by homes of equal size and similar quality. I bought my home for a good price and completely remodel it top to bottom. New windows doors baseboards master bath remodel, kitchen remodel with granite and new cabs, new floor coverings throughout, fresh Paint inside and out, landscape front and back, 9.3 kw paid for solar and pebble tec type pool resurface. I’ve spent almost 100000.00 in updating. Even my neighbors haven’t done as much updating as us yet my home is Zestimate is $75000.+ Less and More!!!! Also the comps they use never seem to be updated and some recent comps aren’t even in their system Bottom line “Do not use Zillow as a fair and honest estimate of ANY property. Zillow refine your software to be fair updated and honest.

Asking to reverify if I'm a real person every search is a joke and only frustrates to moves to a site.

I used the "ask a question." form to ask the listing agent a question about a poperty I was interested in. I did not subscribe to anything, but Zillow added me to multiple email lists and sent me spam email immediately. A reputable business would not behave like this. They had better not start calling my phone with irrelevant grubbing marketing.

They have our home listed as pre forclosure, and it is NOT! This is causing TONS of buyers to call and mail us. WE DID NOT LIST ON ZILLOW. THEY PUT NOT ONLY OUR INFORMATION, BUT INCORRECT INFORMATION AND WILL NOT DELETE IT OR CORRECT IT. THIS HAS GONE ON FOR MONTHS. AT THIS POINT, TIME TO GET THE ATTORNEY GENERAL AND BBB INVOLVED.

Garbage. They mislead you, then lie to you, then fall off once called out on their BS. I can’t stress this enough - don’t use Zillow for anything. If you’re an Agent, don’t use them. If you’re a consumer, don’t use them. They have no desire nor commitment to see you succeed. They are strictly out for their dollar and nothing else. Literally, after dropping $20k + with them, they offered zero value.

In my market they give themselves a 0-1. I give them that as well. Don't spout out about a Zestimate when you have no idea what the market is.
