ZenfolioReviews of zenfolio.com

Zenfolio has really lost its way, and has become a worthless company now, they just throw your photos that you have publicly available for others into an archive and when you want to get them out of there, it often doesn't work, and when you finally get them can see again, photos of others suddenly appear in your folders. I have also held them immediately liable for this, and refuse any consequence. But they are silent in all languages on various emails I have already sent. So I'm quitting there because if they think I'm still going to pay my subscription, they can forget about it, they are breaking the contract with unlimited uploading.

If I could Give them zero stars I would... once delivering a solid performance and service in the early 2000's this company is now a horrible experience recently attempting to rebuild and share using their new format. Incredibly slow speeds and nonfunctioning tools are a complete deal killer. I basically feel as if I was mugged and my yearly subscription fee was stolen ... Buyer Beware ... add to that an unresponsive human helpline with an idiotic chatbot and this company is finished ... use at your own risk as they can't survive long with this service level.............................. The same day to this writing review.... I reached out to Zenfolio CEO and explained I have used their services for almost 20 years and service, support , and functionality has reached rock bottom , I got a direct response from CEO explaining internal challenges and that they would help me work out my technical issues with the help of his Chief Technology Officer , less than 12 hours after that I woke up to an automated cancelled account with zero access to my work stored on their servers ...

This website is outdated. It lacks essential SEO features, which makes it harder for potential visitors to find the site. Additionally, the preset design templates come across as uninspired. While customer service is available, they haven't been particularly helpful in addressing my concerns. In fact, some responses haven't addressed the issues raised, which has been totally frustrating. Overall, the site currently functions primarily as a basic image storage. I'm hesitant to recommend it to others because of these limitations. It would be great to see improvements in SEO, design customization, and a more responsive customer service approach. Another concerning issue is the recent change that makes it impossible for customers to contact the photographer through the contact form. I got a person named Julie who refused to address the issue and instead harrassed me over and over again about things I had no issue with. This person prioritizes expressing their feelings over addressing the root of the problem. Which made it difficult to find solutions. Julie also made assumptions and excuses without fully understanding the situation and used the platform to be a menace to be quite honest. Look at this! Archive service launched on 9/18/23, both via dashboard notifications and email, I would have thought that you would have read through the plan thoroughly (as you are keen on attention to detail) and acted before your renewal! Not even the issue. My issue: Re: People are not able to access my contact form

Dear Zenfolio, F*** you Website is slow as F*** User Experience is bad as F*** Customer service is inexistent & F***** up You have zero respect for your clients. And then it’s impossible to cancel subscription, because you need to reach a chat that is out of service, there is no answer to email requests either and Zenfolio automatically renews the subscription charging the credit card without consent or possibility to remove it from the account. I hope your company will Go bankrupt as fast as possible and disappear before the end of my totally unacceptably overpriced subscription this year. Sincerly, a 10 years very disappointed user

As a long-time user of Zenfolio, I am so sad to see what this service has become. For the longest time, this service was amazing, but recently that has all changed. I'm not sure whose idea it was to start the whole archiving thing, but it is causing chaos for my business. Not only is it making galleries inaccessible to my clients, but it is crashing my portfolio causing me trouble getting new clients as well. I'm not sure what I am going to do, but at this point, I'm sure that it won't involve Zenfolio.

I unfortunately have the same issue everyone else with negative reviews is having. absolutely unacceptable! I have already switched my services to another platform, but it's going to be a major pain reuploading galleries from the past 2 years. I was with Zenfolio for over 10 years and all of my galleries are GONE! unarchiving does not work. So frustrating. It feels illegal. We paid for a service and we should get the service we paid for. What a SCAM.

My website hosted by Zenfolio right now is broken all over the place: galeries disappeared, collections broken, most of my blog posts lost their pictures and are now empty! I tried to "restore" all of the galleries with blog images more than 1 week ago, and the pictures are still missing! When this was going to be implemented, we were promised that all pictures used in blog and active galleries would not be archived, well that was apparently not true. We were told that galleries could be retrieved within 12 to 24 hours... another lie, it takes weeks, if it ever happens!!! Whoever came up with this didn't not really understand how photographers do business. The archiving process should ONLY archive galleries/pictures which haven't been accessed (viewed) by a customer for more than 2 years. The current implementation is completely stupid, I bet most photographers on Zenfolio are now are trying to unarchive archived galleries because: #1 their website is broken #2 customers can't access their galleries That's sad because I have been with Zenfolio for more than 14 years, and I won't renew with them after this fiasco.

So many LOYAL customers for over a decade in my reading below. I have been with them since 2010. I cannot get over how unprofessional this is. Fine if you need to upgrade your archival process as a company but NOT at the client's expense while you still charge them for images they cannot even f* access. So so so very disappointed. I have SO many images I cannot even access or find right now. They should be held accountable and also refund clients.
