I accomplished my dream trip to Peru a few months ago with Yampu. Cusco and Machu Picchu had been in my bucket list since I was a little girl, so my expectations were really high. Three of my dearest girlfriends came with me and we trusted Yampu to help us come up with the perfect itinerary, choice of lodgment, hikes and rides, cultural activities, etc. that fitted us and our lifestyle. We are avid hikers and we really wanted to hike Machu Picchu inside and out. We also love history, so informed guides for the cultural visits were also a must. Finally, as much as we like to hike, we prefer day trips rather than carrying heavy backpacks and we enjoy a nice hot shower and a good bed after the exercise. Yampu found for us a fabulous combination of hotels. The choice of lodgment was absolutely fantastic. And mind that we were not in the most expensive hotels in every city! That is easy! Yampu found for us the great hotels that are not the best known but instead are awesome deals. The planning was fabulous but while we were in Cusco an unannounced strike hit the region and suddenly the Machu Picchu archeological site was closed to the public for 2 days... on the exact dates when we were supposed to be there. I cannot even imagine if we had not had Yampu manage this crisis! They were able to change most of our pre-booked hikes to the new dates, extend our stay in the comfortable hotel in Cusco without needing to even change rooms, find for us 2 rooms in the same extraordinary hotel in Machu Picchu Pueblo where we supposed to stay, adjust our train tickets, our air tickets... EVERYTHING! It was really important that they have leverage there. I know for a fact that that hotel was totally booked on the new dates. Yampu still was able to fit us in and we enjoyed it enormously. Despite the strike we loved our Peru trip and that was for the most part thanks to Yampu handling it. We missed 2 days in Lima at the end of the trip because of the strike, so I cannot wait to go back there... maybe just for a long weekend for a gastronomical experience!

We booked a 2 week vacation to Peru with Yampu in October 2016. It was our best family trip travelling with 3 kids ages 9,12 & 14. Yampu were very thorough and patient with us while we were booking a very detailed itinerary. We travelled from Lima to Cusco to Sacred Valley, Machu Pichu and on to the Amazon Rainforest. There were lots of internal flights and transporation that had to be coordinated. We were delighted with all the hotels Yampu booked us in and the guides. We had an amazing experience and would have no hesitation recommending Yampu.

I have been on four trips organized by Yampu--Peru, Maxico, Suth Africa, and India and Nepal. They were wonderful to work with for every trip. Highly recommend them.

Really liked how everything was taken care of, didn't have to plan anything myself. Guides were great. Just a few mishaps but they were resolved quickly.

I've done a couple of trips with Yampu, and while I'm not normally the kind of person who'd use a travel agent, I recommend Yampu for anything in South America or SE Asia. Most recently, they worked with me to nail down all the details of a whirlwind trip across Thailand and Cambodia, including everything from hotels and connections to tweaking locations for better diving conditions for the season. My agent was able to help me understand which sites would be best at which times, how long I'd need at each one, and the best ways to get from place to place, so that when I arrived in-country, all I had to do was enjoy the incredible trip. The guides are consistently first rate -- always solid local knowledge, good English, and an unprecedented depth of knowledge. If anything isn't completely smooth, local help is only a phone call away, and the Yampu Emergency team back in NY responds to e-mail around the clock. Sure, you can do the Budget Big Bus tour across Asia, and I'm sure you'll see some cool things, along with the other 50 people crowded onto your bus. But if you really want an epic, mind-blowing experience, reach out to the folks at Yampu.

We had a large group traveling to Vietnam. Yampus service was first rate in every way. Their staff made everything very easy for busy professionals with limited time to plan. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

My only comment would be for your representative to make sure they are at the airport on time to greet the traveller as I was at arrivals and your representative was 15 minutes late and I had no idea what or where I was going and I found this very concerning.

I was on a trip for two weeks in Vietnam and not once was I concerned about my safety, accommodations or where I was going to get my next gluten-free meal. Yampu Tours was awesome and I mean it in every sense of the word. I highly suggest you use this service if traveling to Vietnam or anywhere else they service.
