In every respect I found the yella Cuba experience superior. Our leader was refered to as mommy do to the fact she was always there to solve any concern real or imagined that we had. I believe she worked at least twenty hours a day. All to make sure we enjoyed our visit and remained and felt safe. Thank you so much.

Our trip was amazing!!! I wish everyone going to Cuba could have the same experience we did! Our tour guide Ari was incredibly knowledgeable and taught us so much about the history of Cuba. The only suggestion I have is that there would be a little more clarity about what to bring for the charities. For example, tooth paste is like gold to these people. Had I known I would have asked my dentist to donate toothpaste and brushes. I’m sure he would have done so happily! Having said that, our group as a whole were very generous, and the people at all the charities were so appreciative! I highly recommend Ya’!la Tours.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write! Feedback from our travelers means everything to us. We can't express how grateful we are for the generosity of your group and really all of our travelers to Cuba. We do provide a list of recommended donation items to bring in the information booklet included with travel documents. However, it makes a lot of sense to move it forward, to a more prominent spot in the booklet. We want to do everything we can to help get the most needed items to those who need them in Cuba. Thank you for the suggestion!

choice of hotels in Havana particularly the Melia Havana was too far out for anybody who was interested in the history and culture of the city and country. A resort hotel where the emphasis is on the swimming pool left something to be desired and it was too far from the center

Thanks for your feedback. We would love to have a hotel option closer to or inside of the Old City of Havana. As of late 2017, the U.S. economic embargo against Cuba does not allow us to deal with any entity owned by the Cuban military. Unfortunately, this includes a long list of hotels in or near the Old City. The few hotels in that area that we are legally able to use fall far below our standards. https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2017/11/08/562850877/u-s-bans-americans-from-staying-in-more-than-80-cuban-hotels

The trip was quite enjoyable. I’d do it again. We had a full itinerary everyday with a variety of experiences which kept things interesting. We saw much of Cuba and through the discussions with the local guide and Jane we gained insights into the Cuban culture and history both pre and post revolution. The humanitarian components added another dimension to the trip and were more informative and interesting than I had anticipated. Enjoyed the Cuban people as well as those on the tour. Food was very good but the restaurants were too generous with quantity. Hotels nice, comfortable and met our needs as was the transportation. There were a couple schedule adjustments (for example a restaurant we were scheduled to eat at had become a bar)but Jane and the local guide learned of this early and quickly came up with a wonderful alternative...never missed a beat.
