We cannot believe how deceitful Wyndham Vacations is. We were surrounded by not 1, not 2 BUT 3 reps, and were offered a FREE VACATION for attending a brief presentation. We were there for 4 hours! We were mentally and emotionally manipulated and believe we were victims of elder abuse. We were overwhelmed with information, confusing us without any clear explanation of what we were buying. RCI is also a joke, we were never told of any additional fees to use this. Wyndham will tell you; you’ll get all these discounts and benefits for being owners, well spoiler alert, it’s a bait and switch. You really don’t get any of the benefits they purportedly offer. It’s just another way to get you to sign, and by the time you get home your cancellation period has expired, which we were never made aware of. After doing research on our own, we had 10 DAYS to cancel this, and we would have if they disclosed that to us! Our legal right to cancel was withheld from us and we find that to be beyond unethical, if not illegal. How are these companies allowed to operate in this manner without getting shut down by the authorities?

What an organization planned a trip to New Orleans based upon their availability! Made plane reservations only to find out 2 weeks latter that their will not be any tour of the property and no incentive. Well not only is my plane fare non- refundable but the”Incentive “ was going to be used to off set some of the expenses I incurred while there. I was offered a refund or could still stay at property what a rip off! Hotel price for a room was cheaper than the cost I paid for the Tour, supervisors never call back. Do not fall for their tactics” bad company. Can’t imagine the stuff they pull if you were a member!

BUYER BEWARE! Wyndham told us all these amazing things about purchasing a timeshare with them. They told us if we were to upgrade our current timeshare, we would be in their VIP tier, have more vacation locations, and a lot more availability. The main issue with our original purchase was lack of availability and location choice, so we figured with an upgrade and VIP status everything would be better. They made us believe that with an upgrade our timeshare would be more valuable and that we could sell it later or rent it out for profit, and we found out ALL of it was a lie. All Wyndham wanted was our money and that is what they are getting unfortunately. We were tricked into signing an upgrade contract for something that apparently does not exist. We were under the impression we were getting the VIP benefits they were explaining to us when they pitched it. But I guess Wyndham’s thing is just lying to their customers about what they are purchasing and lining their pockets.

Where do I even begin with Wyndham – I guess with the lack of ethics, lack of compassion, and lack of integrity. Wyndham is so widely known, yet no one really knows how evil they are, not even the PGA Tour where they sponsor one of their events. They take your money and get you into a contract with absolutely no regard for your personal situation even after telling the sales team “NO”. This is quite sad, and disheartening to say the least. We’re now thousands of dollars in debt, for nothing. Since becoming “owners” with Wyndham, we have not been able to use this timeshare once! Do not engage with Wyndham under any circumstances.

My experience with WorldMark has been absolutely awful! My mother and I got lured to a presentation when we checked in and it was all downhill from there. The salesman, Darin, gave us tons of information and about 98% of it was false. He told us what we wanted to hear- we could vacation at Disney World, Italy, Cancun- we could earn points to pay for our monthly dues with their credit card- we would be paying a one-time fee. All lies! That is probably why the employees rushed us through a 50+ page contract in 15 minutes. It was only when it was too late that we realized we were lied to. The monthly payments are outrageous. $120 for dues, $334 for the loan, $102 for the down payment. Then there are fees they don’t disclose, like the $150 per reservation for cleaning fees. They also offered us a “free” vacation that ended up costing us $449! WorldMark is a scam, and they are only out for your money. Be careful doing business with them, in fact, you should avoid them all together.

DO NOT go to Wyndham, DO NOT even SPEAK with Wyndham! You’ll lose your sanity, peace of mind, and will become responsible for a loan more expensive than what this timeshare is worth. You cannot use it when you’d like, or even where you’d like, you must settle and why settle when you are paying thousands of dollars. The answer is simple… you shouldn’t. Keep your sanity and money, save your time, there’s nothing good that will come from you spending hours of your vacation time in their sales room. This was such a scam to us, and it reminded us of a pyramid scheme, minus having to sell product(s) on their behalf. We wish we never would have fallen for their “gifts” that wedged the door right open. They’ll lie and deceive you into signing a contract, and worse yet, they never told us about our legal right to cancel this contract. The sales staff fraudulently opened a credit account on our behalf, and we had no clue this was done until we received a statement in the mail. Overall, you won’t get any of the promised benefits, but they still promote that you will. It’s a never ending cycle of lies with Wyndham.

Being involved with Wyndham is like ‘making a deal with the devil’, and you receive nothing from that deal. We’ve owned Wyndham since 2011 and the amount of trickery that goes on is impossible to believe. Out of nowhere they moved our home resort out of New York and when we discovered this and demanded it be changed back, they would only do that if we upgraded! We were suckered into believing their lies, repeatedly. Wyndham can spin anything you say into a “benefit” of purchasing. We were told our points COULD be passed down to our kids after we die. However, that was a lie and an infuriating one at that. What happens is, your kids/next of kin will become FINANCIALLY OBLIGATED to take this on. They also gave us a false sense of security, by advising THEY WOULD BUY BACK our timeshare if we ever wanted to sell it to them. Everything we thought was perfect, has been a never-ending nightmare.

Wyndham Destinations, where do we even begin. Let’s start in 2018 when we were held hostage for 3+ hours after being told this meeting was supposed to be 45 minutes. We declined their offers 3 different times, until we were so mentally worn down that we settled on a package and signed. Our next encounter was in 2019, and what a doozy! We were told our entire purchase in 2018 wasn’t done right, and they were going to make it right. Wyndham offered us an 8-day/7-night stay, that we have yet to receive, and it’s been 4 LONG years. We’ve done some research on our own, and people are selling these for $1!! This is beyond infuriating. We’ve spent more than $40,000 on something that’s selling for $1 and it’s still sitting there! Do yourself a favor and avoid Wyndham Destinations and ALL timeshares for that matter. My research shows an abusive pattern across the entire industry, but because Wyndham is the largest timeshare in the world, I feel like the other timeshares are following their blue print on how to manipulate and deceive its customers into buying a worthless timeshare.
